Zamioculcas Black gets its name from the fact that its leaves and stems are almost black in color. They are so dark that they look unnatural. However, they begin to darken only as they grow older. Initially, a young zamioculcas has a pale light green color. Its second name - "Raven" (from the English raven - "raven") - the plant received for the resemblance of cuttings and leaves with spread wings of a raven.

It is a rare species and not always found in stores. The homeland of this exotic plant is Madagascar.
