One of the Oscars' advantages is the absence of peas.

The berries have an attractive raspberry color. The skin is of medium density. Oscar can also be singled out for the fleshy pulp.

The fruits are papillary or elongated-oval in shape. Each fruit weighs 10.9 grams. If we talk about the size, then it is 50 mm, so they are considered large.

There is a waxy coating on the fruits.

The grapes have an amazing harmonious taste. Sugar in fruits 180 g / dm³.

Oscar is a high-yielding variety.

Precisely because Oscar develops a female type of flower, he responds well to gibberellic acid. When applied, the fruits lengthen a little, the thickness becomes more uniform, the bone disappears, and the ripening period is shortened.

The main advice to the gardener is to keep the proportion correctly. If this rule is neglected, then the positive effect of the use of acid will be replaced by a negative one: the berries crumble, the stalk hardens. Enough 20 mg per liter.

Planting is done in the same way as when planting any other grapes. The size of the pit is 1x1 meter, the depth of immersion of the seedling is 30 cm. You can put fertilizers on the bottom of the pit, they will help the plant in the first year of life.

The consequence of waterlogging will be cracking of the fruit. When the berries are already ripe, they are no longer afraid of a large amount of water.

In the spring, nitrogen fertilizers are applied, they help the plant to gain greens. After harvesting the fruits, fertilizer with phosphorus and potassium is applied to the soil.

Oscar's frost resistance is -22 degrees Celsius. But he still needs shelter. You can use improvised materials, for example, spruce branches. It will protect you from frost and retain the required amount of moisture in the soil.

Despite the fact that the variety has resistance to pests and diseases at the level of 3.5-4 points, professionals always advise to carry out preventive treatment of bushes in spring with slaked lime or copper sulfate.

Even if the bunches of grapes are not picked immediately, they hang on the bushes for a long time and will not lose their presentation. The fruits are well transported and stored in the warehouse, subject to the temperature regime.
