Table grapes Nadezhda Aksayskaya belongs to hybrids that easily take root in almost any climate. It is highly valued for its unpretentiousness, early fruiting, and a wide range of berries. The second - an unofficial name found in various sources, sounds like Nadezhda Aksaya.
Breeding history
The new hybrid was bred by an amateur breeder Kapelyushny Vasily Ulyanovich, crossing the grapes of the Talisman and Arcadia subspecies. It got its name from the place of appearance - in the Aksai district of the Rostov region. Breeding the hybrid took about 10 years, during which its author continued to consolidate and improve the results of his work. Gradually, the work of the breeder was appreciated by other winegrowers. Today Nadezhda Aksayskaya is found not only in the North Caucasus region, but also beyond its borders - in the middle zone, in the Urals and in Siberia.
Description
Ripening period
This grape variety belongs to the early ones. Fruit ripening takes 110-115 days. In colder regions, the terms increase by 20-30 days. In the south, the berries ripen in the first decade of August.
Bunches
The grapes of Nadezhda Aksayskaya are distinguished by the large size of the bunches. Usually they weigh up to 700-1200 g, but sometimes they reach a weight of 2 kg. They are distinguished by a pronounced cylindrical shape, slightly tapering towards the end
Berries
Grapes Nadezhda Aksayskaya bears fruit with berries of light green, almost white, when grown in sunny areas - amber. They are characterized by an oval oblong shape, weight 8-12 g. Large berries have a dense skin, but without excessive rigidity, are not prone to cracking. Nadezhda Aksayskaya's pulp is dense, rich in juice.
Taste
This hybrid is characterized by a nutmeg flavor. It is light, balanced, with sourness, the sugar content reaches 160-180 g / dm3. Ripe berries have honey notes.
Yield
The variety is high-yielding. From a bush, you can collect up to 34-40 kg of berries per season. Under less favorable agricultural conditions, this figure is reduced to 15-25 kg, obtained practically without effort. At the same time, a young vine produces fewer berries than an old one.
Growing features
The cultivation of a hybrid is carried out on old rootstocks - by grafting, it is also propagated by layering and cuttings. The vine does not gain great height, on average it reaches 1.5 meters. Hybrid Nadezhda Aksayskaya grows well both on sandy and black earth soils; drainage is required on clay soil.
Landing
It is recommended to carry it out in the spring, but it is possible to transfer the seedlings to the ground in the fall.Young shoots need shelter, buildings and structures can act in this capacity. A trench is dug from their southern side, into which grape seedlings are placed. It is recommended to immediately provide for the installation of a trellis.
When planted in pits, they are placed every 1-2 meters from each other, with a diameter of 800 mm and a depth of at least 700 mm. The bottom must be well drained, wood ash and azofoska are added to the soil mixture. The pits are not sprinkled with earth - the grapes will root well without it, but the hole itself should be mulched after abundant watering.
Pollination
Grape Nadezhda Aksayskaya has bisexual flowers, belongs to the category of self-pollinated. It is not characterized by shedding of flowers and ovaries. On lignified vines, the yield is always higher.
Pruning
It is necessary to normalize the bunches. 30-35 eyes are left on the bush, but no more than 2-4 pieces per 1 vine. It is produced at the stage of development of shoots, inflorescences, bunches. Thinning is shown at the end of June, with the spreading of the ovaries on 2 sides. Removing underdeveloped vines helps to increase the size and weight of the bunches.
Spring pruning is done for 3-5 buds. Later, as the shoots develop, the extra ones break off, leaving up to 20 vines per bush. Excess inflorescences, except for the largest, are also removed.
Frost resistance and the need for shelter
The variety can withstand a drop in atmospheric temperatures down to -24 degrees. In winter, it needs shelter. Already when the air temperature drops to -15 degrees, the root system of the plant may suffer. For the winter they are bent down, covered with snow and spruce branches.
Diseases and pests
Hybrid Nadezhda Aksayskaya has increased resistance to most typical diseases. It is rarely affected by gray mold, mildew and powdery mildew. As a preventive measure, it is recommended to sanitize with antifungal drugs in 1-2 doses during wet seasons. Berries attract wasps during the ripening period, it is worth providing additional protection with a net.
In regions where phylloxera is present in the soil, cultivation is recommended exclusively on rootstocks that are resistant to this disease.
If a grape is exposed to any disease or insect, this always affects its appearance.
Storage
The variety has good marketability and is transportable. Can be stored for over 3 months in wooden boxes.
