Grapes are grown all over the world, in almost all countries. With proper care, the Dashunya variety will delight you with a rich harvest.
Breeding history
Dashunya was taken out on the territory of Ukraine. The breeder Nikolai Pavlovich Vishnevetsky was engaged in the work. It was possible to create a variety thanks to the crossing of other species:
- Kesha1;
- Rizamat;
- Radiant kishmish.
Description
A table variety with functionally feminine flowers has great vigor. The leaves are dark, with a green color. They consist of five blades, there are deep slots. The edges are serrated.
The flowers of the variety are small, light green in color, gather in a panicle.
Ripening period
Dashunya grapes belong to the early middle varieties in terms of ripening. The period from bud formation to harvest takes 115 to 120 days.
Bunches
Conical in shape, the bunches have an optimal density of berries. The weight of one can vary from 500 to 700 grams. One of the features is the pea.
Berries
When ripe, the berries can be of different shades. It ranges from light pink to red. The peel is easily eaten; fleshy flesh is hidden under it. The shape of the grapes is oval with elongation. Fruit weight - from 12 to 14 grams.
Taste
Dashuni has a pleasant nutmeg taste, for which this grape is valued.
Yield
A high-yielding variety cannot but please the gardener with the amount of fruits it brings.
Growing features
The cultivation of grapes can be carried out in both tropical and subtropical climates. Basically, this culture requires dry and sunny weather. Temperature and humidity are the very factors that affect the amount of the crop.
It is better not to grow this variety in the coastal region, as it is not so resistant to high humidity. In addition, low air temperatures at the stage of vegetative development lead to low yields and peas.
The first step in planting grapes is the preparation of the site, which includes a number of preliminary works. Land Clearing - Removing excess unwanted vegetation or debris.
Soil testing should follow soil clearance, preferably the season before planting, so that nutrient levels and soil pH can be adjusted if necessary.
Landing
To get the most out of your vineyard, soil preparation is essential. The purpose of such preparation is to maintain or improve the structure of the soil, mix or apply fertilizers, increase the availability of nutrients, provide a suitable rooting environment for vines, and control weeds.
The need for artificial drainage is determined by a number of factors, including low soil permeability, flat terrain, periods of excessive precipitation.
For each plant, dig holes with a depth and diameter of at least 40 cm. Fill the bottom with several centimeters of a mixture of soil and compost. Then the roots of the vine are placed. Everyone is covered with the first layer of soil, tamped so that air pockets do not form. The next layer should cover the root system up to the soil level.
Watering of the seedling is mandatory. Mulch is laid, which will subsequently protect the soil from moisture loss.
Pollination
The Dashunya variety must be pollinated, otherwise peas are observed. In bad weather, when insects cannot properly pollinate the vineyard, this process should be monitored.
Pruning
During the first year, all grapes that form on the vines should be removed from the plant. This allows the bush to form a high-quality root system, strong stems.
One of the most important tasks in growing the described crop is pruning. It is very important for maintaining plant health and productivity. Pruning should be done in early spring when the bushes are still dormant.
Watering
Watering is especially worth watching. Too much moisture is always bad, because then root rotting begins. Drainage is indispensable.
During periods of long drought, it is important to moisten the soil in time. Young plants require more moisture than adults.
Top dressing
Top dressing is useful for grapes during periods when fruits are formed on it. They use not only bird droppings and manure, but also ash.
You can use ready-made complex fertilizers, thanks to which the required amount of nutrients gets into the soil.
Frost resistance and the need for shelter
The level of frost resistance in Dashun is -22 ° С. In most regions where this variety will be grown in our country, it needs shelter. Summer residents use spruce branches or agricultural material.
Diseases and pests
Dasha's resistance to mildew is 2.5 points, and the same to powdery mildew.
If a grape is exposed to any disease or insect, this always affects its appearance.
Storage
The variety is perfectly stored and transported. They will retain their attractive presentation for a month and even more, if the necessary conditions are created.
