All about the Horus fungicide for grapes
Fungicides are effective drugs that will eradicate various fungal diseases of garden crops. In specialized stores, you can see a wide variety of such products. Today we will talk about the composition of "Horus" for grapes.
general description
This preparation for grapes is an effective antifungal agent, which is presented in the form of small special granules and is sold in packs of different sizes. The main active component of the composition is cyprodinil (750 grams per 1 kg of fungicide).
This element is highly active at temperatures from 3 degrees Celsius. It is able to penetrate into plant tissues as quickly as possible.
Cyprodinil will not be washed off by atmospheric precipitation, therefore, processing can be carried out in conditions of high humidity.
The main component belongs to the third hazard class, that is, it is moderately hazardous. The period of absorption of the active element by the tissues of the vegetation is rather short, therefore, even in cases when heavy rain falls 2-3 hours after the treatment, the agent will not be washed off the plants.
"Horus" allows you to eliminate fungal infections by disrupting the vital processes of parasites. The substance easily infects pests that live in the wood of shrubs during wintering.
When using this fungicide, the active ingredients will not spread throughout the entire vine. They will begin to penetrate only young leaves and fruits. The composition allows you to perform several functions at once: protective, therapeutic, systemic and prophylactic.
Horus can be used for the following grape diseases:
-
mildew;
-
oidium;
-
alternaria;
-
gray rot;
-
fruit rot;
-
scab;
-
powdery mildew;
-
brown spotting;
-
white spot.
A fungicide of this type should be classified as a highly effective pesticide, since it can have a strong destructive effect on almost all types of fungal spores. Pests are completely destroyed.
"Horus" is distinguished by the most economical consumption, so even a small package can be enough for a long time. The shelf life of the medicinal composition reaches three years. It is recommended to store it in a dry place, it should not be exposed to direct sunlight.
This preparation for fruit plants has no phytotoxicity. It is safe for humans, animals and vegetation itself. The fungicide will only affect all foci of fungal diseases, it will not affect the vine.
Instructions for use
To achieve a positive result from the use of this fungicide, treatments should be carried out in accordance with the instructions. First of all, you should remember about the dosage. For one hundred square meters, you will need 2 liters of clean water and 6 grams of dry granules.
It is worth preparing such a solution immediately before use. The composition that remains after use must be disposed of. You cannot store it. When preparing the working composition, first, only 1/3 of the water is poured into a clean container, then "Horus" is added there and the rest of the liquid is added.
Plants are treated with such a fungicide in three stages. First, the vegetation is sprayed even before the beginning of the flowering period.The second treatment is carried out not earlier than 2-3 weeks after the first one, but also not later than 2 weeks before harvesting the fruits. The third procedure should be performed as the bunches mature.
This drug will be most effective at temperatures from 3 to 10 degrees Celsius. Horus can be combined with other medicinal substances. But before doing this, you need to check their compatibility.
Often "Horus" is combined with other fungicides. You can use the means "Topaz", "Speed". Sometimes the composition is mixed with various insecticides in order to provide reliable protection against the appearance of harmful insects on vegetation.
If, when this fungicide is mixed with other compounds, a thick foam appears, a bubbling process occurs, then this means that the substances are incompatible.
If there are no strong changes, or only a slight precipitation is observed, then the resulting mixture can be used to treat infected shrubs.
Before preparation, you must first dilute the Horus fungicide and another additional preparation separately. Only then can the ready-made diluted solutions be combined and used. Spraying with a ready-made solution must be carried out in calm weather. In this case, all the leaves of the shrubs should be thoroughly moistened.
The duration of the protective action of such a preparation for grapes is from 7 to 10 days. The waiting period is about one week.
It should be noted that the effect of the medicinal composition will be effective in any period of growth and development of culture. It is permissible to carry out the processing both in the summer and in the spring season. Nevertheless, it is recommended to carry out the first procedure immediately after the spring frost, when the temperature rises to 3 degrees Celsius. remember, that at an air temperature above 25 degrees Celsius, the duration of the composition is significantly reduced, and the effectiveness of treatments also decreases.
Precautionary measures
If you plan to treat your grapes with this fungicide, there are some important precautions to keep in mind. During spraying with a medicinal solution, do not allow small children, lactating and pregnant women to be at a distance of less than 15 meters from the treatment site.
