Ursa Geo: features and characteristics of insulation
Ursa Geo is a fiberglass-based material that reliably retains heat in the house. Insulation combines layers of fibers and air interlayers, which protects the room from the negative effects of low temperatures.
Ursa Geo can be used not only for thermal insulation of partitions, walls and ceilings, but also for insulation of balconies, loggias, roofs, facades, as well as for industrial insulation.
Advantages and disadvantages
The material has many advantages.
- Environmental friendliness. The technologies and materials used for the production of insulation are absolutely safe for humans and the environment. Ursa Geo allows air to pass through well, while absolutely not changing its composition.
- Soundproofing. Insulation helps to get rid of noise and has a sound absorption class A or B. Glass fiber absorbs sound waves well, therefore it is often used to insulate partitions.
- Ease of installation. During installation, the insulation takes the required shape. The material is elastic and is securely attached to the insulated area, leaving no holes when joining. Ursa Geo lends itself well to transportation, does not crumble during construction work.
- Long service life. The service life of the insulation is at least 50 years, since fiberglass is a material that does not lend itself well to destruction and does not change its characteristic qualities over time.
- Non-flammability. Since the main raw material for the manufacture of insulation fibers is quartz sand, the material itself, like its main constituent part, is not a combustible material.
- Insect resistance and the appearance of rot. Since the basis of the material is inorganic substances, the insulation itself is not exposed to the appearance and spread of rot and fungal diseases, as well as various types of pests.
- Water resistance. The material is treated with a special compound that does not allow water to penetrate inside.
This insulation material also has disadvantages.
- Dust emission. A special feature of fiberglass is the emission of a small amount of dust.
- Susceptibility to alkali. The insulation is exposed to alkaline substances.
- The need to protect eyes and exposed skin when working with this material.
The precautions should be the same as with any other fiberglass material.
Application area
Insulation is used not only for insulating walls and partitions in a room, but also for installing water supply systems, pipelines, heating systems. The material is indispensable for owners of country houses, as it is also used to insulate floors between several floors.
Geo insulation is often used to protect roofs from freezing. And the varieties that belong to heaters with a high degree of insulation from noise are mounted on balconies and loggias.
Product Specifications
The manufacturer Ursa produces a wide range of insulation material.
- Ursa M 11. The universal version of M11 is used for almost all works on thermal insulation of structures. It is used both for insulating floors between floors and in the attic, and for insulating low temperature pipes, ventilation systems. A foil-clad analogue is also produced.
- Ursa M 25. Such insulation is well suited for thermal insulation of hot water pipes and other types of equipment. Withstands temperatures up to 270 degrees.
- Ursa P 15. Heat and sound insulating insulation, produced in the form of slabs and suitable for the professional segment of construction. The material is made of fiberglass according to special eco-technologies. Not afraid of moisture, does not get wet.
- Ursa P 60. The material is presented in the form of high-density heat-insulating semi-rigid slabs, with its help noise insulation in the "floating floor" structure is carried out. It has two possible thicknesses: 20 and 25 mm. The material is made using a special technology of protection against moisture, does not lose its properties when wet.
- Ursa P 30. Heat- and sound-insulating boards made using special technologies that protect the heat-insulating material from getting wet. It is used for insulating ventilated facades and in three-layer wall structures.
- Ursa "Light". A universal lightweight material consisting of mineral wool, suitable for insulating both horizontal surfaces and partitions, walls. Not afraid of moisture, does not get wet. An economical option for use in private construction.
- Ursa "Private House". Insulation is a versatile building material that is used in the repair of private houses and apartments for thermal and sound insulation. It is produced in special packages up to 20 linear meters long. It does not get wet and is environmentally friendly.
- Ursa "Facade". Insulation is used for insulation in ventilated air-gap control systems. Has a fire hazard class KM2 and refers to low-flammable materials.
- Ursa "Frame". This type of insulation is intended for thermal insulation of structures on a metal or wooden frame. The thickness of the material is from 100 to 200 mm, allows you to reliably protect the walls of frame houses from freezing.
- Ursa "Universal plates". Mineral wool slabs are perfect for heat and sound insulation of the walls of the house. The insulation does not get wet and does not lose its properties when water gets in, since it is produced using a special technology. It is produced in the form of slabs with a volume of 3 and 6 sq. m. The material is non-combustible, has a fire safety class KM0.
- Ursa "Noise protection". The insulation is non-combustible, used for quick installation in structures with a rack spacing of about 600 mm, since it has a width of 610 mm. Has a sound absorption class - B and fire safety - KM0.
- Ursa "Comfort". This non-combustible fiberglass material is suitable for insulating attic floors, frame walls and pitched roofs. Insulation thickness 100 and 150 mm. Application temperature from -60 to +220 degrees.
- Ursa "Mini". Insulation for the production of which mineral wool is used. Small rolls of insulation. Refers to non-combustible materials and has a fire safety class KM0.
- Ursa "Pitched roof". This thermal insulation material is specially made for the insulation of pitched roofs. It provides reliable heat and sound insulation. Insulation refers to non-combustible materials.
The slabs are packed in a roll, which greatly facilitates their cutting both lengthwise and across.
