All about site clearance
Clearing involves removing debris and trees from the building site. It also requires the removal of shoots and shrubs from the suburban land and a number of other preparatory stages. But before dealing with them, it is useful to find out why such a thing is required at all.
Why is cleaning necessary?
It is quite obvious that clearing the building site is required in any case. All future tenants (owners) have their own approach to the arrangement of houses and gardens. If the site is not prepared, no plans can be realized. Cottages and swimming pools, gazebos and paths, baths and fences, small architectural forms, barbecues and so on will remain only in the plans. Meanwhile, the state of the dacha and backyard spaces, even abandoned ones, may well be improved.
Someone hopes to profitably sell the land. But even this will be difficult to do if it is in disrepair. It is unlikely that someone will give a good sum, even for a significant amount of hectares in an attractive location, if they are unsuitable for farming. But the correct pre-sale preparation in the literal sense of the word "works wonders." Of course, if professionals take on it.
Some people may acquire seeming waste territory. Then they use it to make their dream come true - to be at the dacha periodically. Despite the seeming difficulties, it is relatively easy to equip the plots.
The same is done with different types of land assets in order to use it for:
- greenhouses;
- hotel complexes;
- commercial garden land;
- shops;
- warehouses;
- parking lots;
- other objects and purposes.
Cutting down trees and bushes
Quite often the neglect of the property reaches such a degree that they are overgrown and differ little from the forest. Many years of experience have shown that there is no need to rely on the root cut. Usually the cleaning should be repeated in the next season. Often this method of getting rid of overgrowth is used as part of pre-sale preparation to create only the appearance of a neat condition of the land. But even conscientious sellers, not to mention those wishing to develop the territory, are forced to act differently. The best, proven over many years, option for getting rid of overgrown areas of grass and forest is to remove weeds along with stubbing. After such a procedure, you can forget about the problem for a long time.
And if the care of a summer cottage or other territory is regular, if every spring time is accompanied by local cleaning, then unwanted plants will never appear. But in some cases, complex processing, including the passage of the tractor and sawing off trees, shrubs, is redundant. Often old and withered, dead trees are simply removed from the surface, and the root system is not touched. A large tree is best cut in parts. In this case, an industrial mountaineering service may be required. Relatively small plants are felled immediately, only choosing a certain direction.
The problem is that the remaining stumps will greatly interfere with both immediately and in the future use of the site. We'll either have to uproot them all the same, or constantly struggle with the spread of new growth.
Subsequent stages
Here it is necessary to step back a little and indicate exactly how the professionals work in order to clear the site correctly. They begin with the formation of a project and a diagram showing the terrain. In such a scheme, the exact boundaries of the territory are fixed, which allows you to correctly calculate costs and determine tariffs. The site is subject to inspection, during which the condition of the access roads, the type of soil and the degree of their moisture are assessed. Be sure to pay attention to the level of clogging; having compiled a list of works, summarize them in terms of complexity, draw up schedules and estimates, which become an annex to the contract.
Uprooting stumps
It is worth noting that such work is sometimes needed by itself - if the site was already superficially cleared of forest by the previous owners, and you just need to put it in order. However, this does not really affect the course of manipulations. For work, both crushers and universal excavators are used. The choice of option is determined by:
- the size of the stump itself;
- the ability to access it;
- urgency of work;
- land area;
- the depth to which the roots go.
Liberation from stones
This procedure is also equally necessary for the improvement of any territory. On agricultural land, it is carried out using a combination of rake and pick-up. These machines can be aggregated with modern tractors, which automatically removes the question of their movement around the site. In most cases, the stones are crushed and taken out.
Very large boulders are impossible or very difficult to grind mechanically. Therefore, they can be degraded with explosives. Each such project is thought out individually. Only trained specialists start it. Explosive destruction of stones is practiced strictly at a distance from any structures and communications. Also, boulders can be buried or removed with the help of construction equipment, but in these cases there are a number of their own nuances.
Demolition of old buildings
Removing old structures is not as easy as it sounds. This process is time consuming. Various special equipment and auxiliary equipment are used for it. Often attracted by:
- excavators;
- tractors;
- bulldozers;
- loaders;
- truck cranes.
But it is, of course, impossible to completely do without manual labor. Especially a lot of it is required when working on wooden and brick buildings. Some of the surviving parts of the buildings can be used in a new business.
Heavy machines will speed up the work and allow you to level the territory. Clearing the site with their help is much more effective.
Garbage removal
When cutting down trees, dismantling buildings and crushing stones, a noticeable amount of waste remains. It is not always possible to cope with them on your own. And therefore, complex clearing necessarily also includes an item on garbage disposal. For this work, spacious trucks are used, and sometimes lifting machines. The cost of services is determined:
- volume of waste;
- the urgency of the task;
- the type of waste (hazardous and difficult-to-handle items and things are paid at increased rates);
- the type of vehicles required and their number.
Alignment
In large volumes, the leveling of the relief on land plots is carried out only with the help of mechanized equipment. It should be noted that it is often possible to realistically estimate the volume of intervention only after removing weeds and stones. If it is planned to build up the territory or its agricultural development, it is hardly reasonable to rush with the leveling. The fact is that heavy equipment will turn the ground anyway. Therefore, in such cases, they usually begin with the preparation of a common site - and that is usually the limit.
Redistributing large masses of land between places with different levels of relief is a relatively simple way to level a site. The simplicity is that this method will not bring any special surprises.However, it can be realized only with the use of special equipment.
The fertile layer is cut in advance and put into a dump. Then this mass can be used to sprinkle on problem areas, organize greenhouses; sale is also possible.
Layout and layout
But clearing in the narrow sense is only a preparatory procedure. Next, you will need to somehow use the site itself and arrange it. Therefore, one cannot do without marking and planning work. In the course of them, it is determined exactly what and where can and should be placed, the optimal design of future buildings is selected (if the territory is allocated for development). The diagrams indicate necessarily the orientation of the site and its parts to the cardinal points.
Also, the layout can be understood as the final leveling of the earth. It is carried out in order to then plant and plant the territory, break up a lawn on it. Planning is also needed before the construction of the tracks. For work, apply:
- tractors (in large areas);
- mini tractors;
- walk-behind tractors.
It is impossible to correctly plan and mark the land without the involvement of surveyors. Only special measurements make it possible to say where it is actually necessary to add soil, and where it is not necessary. Of course, there are many other subtleties and nuances. With a significant one-sided slope for backfilling, the soil is brought from afar. If the difference in height is insignificant, then sometimes it is possible to limit ourselves to cultivation.
