Design options for a corner kitchen with a pencil case

L-shaped kitchen is considered versatile and absolutely win-win. It is optimal in that it allows you to use two walls and a corner space at once, provides an efficient and rational working area, organizes a system for storing food and inventory. Many people supplement such corners with a pencil case - its use has its own characteristics, which will be discussed in our article.

A pencil case is often included in a kitchen set: it is used to store textiles, kitchen utensils, and ovens and other household appliances are often built into the case.

In the classic design, a pencil case is a rather narrow piece of furniture made in the form of a tall column. It is made as a separate module or included in a ready-made kitchen set. Despite its compact size, the functionality of the pencil case is quite wide, it can be easily stored in it:

• dishes, as well as tableware, which are rarely used on the farm;
• kitchen towels, tablecloths and other textiles;
• household chemicals designed for washing dishes, cleaning the stove and other kitchen surfaces;
• large appliances, for example, a dishwasher or even a washing machine;
• an oven built-in at 1-1.5 meters from the floor;
• Microwave oven and other small appliances.

The modern furniture industry produces pencil cases of various shapes, sizes and designs so that any hostess can comfortably place all the necessary items in the conditions of the available space. The following options are most in demand:

• narrow column;
• for technology;
• retractable pencil case;
• angular.

The most popular options are a column cabinet and a corner pencil case. Each of the options has its own advantages and disadvantages.

So, the column is very roomy, contains many internal shelves, thanks to which it allows you to store many items of the most diverse functionality. The facades of such a cabinet are usually deaf, so you can fill it to the maximum: it will not spoil the overall look of the kitchen, reliably hiding the contents from prying eyes.

Many people consider the corner pencil case to be a real find for planning a small kitchen. This modular system has many advantages:

• allows you to hide pointed corners, increasing the free space of an already small room;
• usually has a greater depth, and, accordingly, capacity than a regular pencil case;
• in most cases, it includes several modules: for built-in appliances and for storage, thanks to which the area is used as efficiently as possible.

With the help of a corner cabinet, you can effectively divide the space into a work and dining area; if desired, you can even install a small TV on the top compartment or add decorative lighting to make the room more cozy and stylish.

There are several types of corner cabinets depending on the shape of the case.

Such designs are very effectively combined with the rest of the interior items, usually lockers of the most diverse configuration are adjacent to the side parts of such a pencil case.

The main advantage of such a model is its rather large interior space. At the same time, such cabinets take up a lot of space and the cabinet looks very bulky, therefore, such solutions are not recommended for small apartments.

These are simpler corner pencil cases. Their facades include two parts: one, as a rule, is blank, and the other is open, of a shelf type.

Carousels are several semicircular shelves that are fixed on a vertical rack. The entire installation is equipped with swivel mechanisms, thanks to which the shelves rotate around the axis. The sections contain a corner cut-out, which ensures a tight closing of the case flaps.

The hinged mechanism allows two sections to be rotated and synchronized at once, for this you only need to pull on one shelf.

Smartkorner (from English smart - smart, corner - corner) is called "magic corner". Its principle of operation is based on the use of pull-out modules. A mesh shelf made of light metal is fixed on the inner surface of the doors, and a number of pull-out drawers are placed inside. The shelves are fixed in such a way that when opened, the storage areas open one after the other gradually, like the carriages in a tram.

A kitchen set with a corner sideboard can be the optimal solution for a small kitchen, because in this case the corner is transformed into a convenient container for storing kitchen utensils, accessories, and household appliances.
