Top dressing of garlic with superphosphate
Feeding garlic with superphosphate is a very important and promising business. You need to know how to feed him in June, how to dilute the fertilizer. A separate important topic is the correct dosage for the use of double superphosphate.
Properties
The use of garlic dressing with superphosphate, including double, is due to the fact that this is a very simple and comfortable fertilizer to work with. In addition to phosphorus, the preparation contains gypsum and silica; the presence of a number of fluoride compounds was noted, which also play an important role in the metabolism of plants. Superphosphate can be used on all types of soils, regardless of their chemical composition. Restrictions are associated only with very rare conditions - however, garlic is not grown in them, but crops are selected with the help of experienced agronomists.
Superphosphate makes the plants fed with it tastier. Since there is not so much phosphorus in the soil, annual feeding is required. Provided by:
-
prevention of leaf necrosis;
-
confident growth;
-
maintaining the root system in good shape;
-
protection against fungal infections;
-
reducing the consumption of water from the soil (without harm to the plant);
-
protection from the cold.
How to cook properly?
To dilute superphosphate, you must carefully observe the dosage of the drug. For work, use 10 liters of water. 20 g of the main fertilizer and 10 g of potassium chloride are added there. This amount is usually enough for a garden bed of 2 sq. m. Usually, preparation begins with a combined solution.
In this case, take 20 mg of the drug. It must be dissolved in boiling water (3 liters of water is enough). The fertilizer should be mixed thoroughly. Then it is placed in a dark, warm place for 24 hours.
The finished mixture looks like a very rich cow's milk; it is worth considering that sometimes superphosphate does not have time to dissolve to the end, but there is nothing terrible in this.
How to feed?
The use of fertilizers for garlic should be carefully considered. Basically, this plant needs phosphorus for the formation and development of a good bulb. Therefore, the processing is carried out not "in general in the summer", but in June, more precisely - in the last June ten-day period. It is useful to mix superphosphate with a significant amount of ash. The plant responds very positively to such feeding.
Although you can always water the garlic in the usual way in the garden, foliar feeding should also not be discounted. It allows you to eliminate the lack of phosphorus faster and more effectively. However, the saturation of the solution should be half as much. Otherwise, severe burns are likely. In water, superphosphate for spraying on a leaf is insisted from 8 to 10 hours, and then filtered.
In the garden, phosphorus fertilizer can be added in the fall for digging. Then compost (humus) and potash mixture are added to it. It doesn't matter if superphosphate is represented by granules or powder - it must be put directly into the wells, rows. Important: if the slightest doubt arises, it is worth using a reduced dose of fertilizer.
Better then add phosphorus by the foliar method, rather than immediately overfeeding the garlic.
