Description of the variety
The Pink Raisin variety was developed in Ukraine. And it can be confidently attributed to the achievements of Ukrainian breeders.
The plant is determinate, compact, powerful. Despite this, the bush is tall, stretching up to 1.5 m in greenhouse conditions and up to 1 m on the ground. The leaves are similar to potato leaves, without pubescence, their number is average. Complex brushes with many flowers are formed on the plant. The first of them will appear after 6 or 8 leaves, then they will be formed after 1 sheet. Fruits are tied together, especially on the lower hands.
The main qualities of the fruit
The fruits of the variety in question usually do not crack, they are well stored and transported. Tomatoes are small, from 60 grams, but can grow up to 130-150 g. Their presentation is very good, plum-shaped, elongated, 4-5 cm, they are even, dense.
A cluster with such tomatoes may resemble a bunch of grapes, which is reflected in the name. The skin of the berries is smooth, shiny, pink-red, with pearlescent stains. When the tomatoes are just starting to ripen, they are still green, there is a small dark spot at the stalk. The variety is very decorative, brushes with fruits on the bushes can decorate any garden or greenhouse.
Taste characteristics
The taste of tomatoes is closer to sweet. The fruits are suitable for making summer salad, are used in other recipes, where they are used fresh. Tomatoes are also very tasty when preserved, in pickles.

The timing of planting seedlings and planting in the ground
Seeds for seedlings are sown from February to early March. After 50 days, the seedlings can be transplanted into the ground. For planting, choose a sunny place on an area with fertile and light soil.
Growing tomato seedlings is an extremely important process, because it largely depends on whether the gardener will be able to harvest at all. All aspects must be taken into account, from seedbed preparation to planting in the ground.
Landing scheme
It is customary to plant pink raisins according to the scheme of 50 x 50 centimeters.
Growing and care
The sprouts are planted in the ground when the soil is completely warmed up. The exact planting period depends on the climatic and weather conditions in a particular region. The closer it is to the north, the later this procedure is.
When choosing a site for planting a varietal tomato, a number of nuances should be taken into account.
- Since tomatoes are light-loving plants, the place for planting them should be well lit by the sun's rays.
- It is strictly forbidden to plant tomatoes in the same places where nightshades have been grown for the last 3 years. At the same time, onions, beans, cucumbers, watermelons, melons will be good predecessor crops.
- The choice of neighboring crops is equally important. For example, potato beds cannot be made next to tomatoes. In the same room of the greenhouse where tomatoes grow, you should not plant any other crops.
In preparation for planting tomatoes, the ground must be dug up, cleaned of roots and other residues of vegetation. And it is also necessary to enrich the soil by introducing organic matter, humus, and add ash, dry lime.
Further care is not particularly difficult. For Pink Raisins, a garter is required to any support that is about 1.5 m high. Tied with synthetic thread that does not rot. Pink raisins are cultivated in 2-3 trunks. Once a week, foliage is removed from the bottom to the 1st brush. And also get rid of yellow and just faded leaves.
Watering occurs 2-3 times in 7 days in a volume of 2-2.5 liters of liquid under the bush. Watering is carried out with water heated in the sun early in the morning or in the evening, after sunset. The procedure is completed by loosening and weeding the soil.
Tomatoes need 3-4 feeding during the growing season. Mineral fertilizers alternate with organic fertilizers.
A plant needs different micronutrients at each stage of growth. All fertilizers can be divided into two groups: mineral and organic. Folk remedies are often used: iodine, yeast, bird droppings, eggshells.
It is important to observe the rate and period of feeding. This also applies to folk remedies and organic fertilizers.
