Vegetable growers who have just started cultivating tomatoes are often looking for varieties that will be unpretentious in care. Love is going to be a beginner-friendly variety. Even those who are not strong in advanced agricultural technology can grow it.

Description of the variety

The development of this subspecies was carried out by the Russian breeder Yu. I. Panchev. He created a first-class hybrid adapted to different growing conditions. The determinant variety Love can be afforded by gardeners from all over the country. In the southern regions, it is successfully grown outdoors. As for the cooler regions, then the equipment of greenhouses and greenhouses will be appropriate.

Tomato bushes are distinguished by good vigor, but their growth is average - 120-130 cm. The plant is covered with a large amount of foliage, the latter is of medium size and pleasant green color. Above 7 or 9 leaves, the formation of the first ovary is noted. Then they begin to be laid with an interval of 1-2 leaves. The flowers of the culture are simple, the stalks grow with an articulation.

The main qualities of the fruit

Light green berries of the Lyubov variety acquire a red color as they ripen. In this case, the peduncle does not have a spot. The ribbing of ripening berries is poorly expressed, but the shape resembles a circle. Fruits with dense pulp have an average size - about 200-250 grams. There are no folds or spots on them, the color is uniform. A single berry contains 2-4 seed chambers.

Taste characteristics

Love is a delicious tomato variety. Sourness is in harmony with sweetness here, creating a pleasant duet. Excellent taste has found approval among many gardeners. Tomatoes are usually eaten fresh. But often they are put in different dishes, improving the taste of the latter.

Ripening and fruiting

Hybrid variety Love needs a certain time to ripen. Typically, the process takes 100 to 105 days. Such terms are inherent in mid-season varieties. A feature of the subspecies is long-term fruiting. After the first harvest, the bushes will continue to form ovaries, which will soon turn into ripe, bright fruits.

Yield

Love bears a good amount of fruit. If all the requirements are met, then at least 5 kg can be collected from a square meter. However, there are also more impressive indicators. It is also worth noting that the harvested tomatoes are perfectly stored. They ripen well at home and do not crack. Well-laid fruits can easily tolerate driving in transport. That is why this variety is grown on a large scale in most cases.

The timing of planting seedlings and planting in the ground

Most of the varieties, including hybrid ones, require preliminary preparation of seedlings. Love is also grown in this way. It is worth starting the germination process in March or early April. The seeds are selected, checking the germination, then disinfected with manganese. To help sprouts sprout faster, you can use solutions to stimulate growth. It is not necessary to deeply deepen the seeds, 20 mm will be enough.

The planted material will need to be moistened. For this, it is recommended to use a spray. Subsequently, the soil should be kept slightly moist. Care for the seedlings is simple: watering, once every couple of weeks of feeding, organized daylight hours. The higher the temperature in the seedling building, the faster the first sprouts can be seen.Shortly before disembarkation, they practice hardening of young growth.

The sprouts will be ready for transplantation at the age of 60 or 65 days. The timing of the transfer depends on the place of growth. Greenhouses have a mild microclimate, and seedlings can be taken out in them already in April and May. Landing in open ground should be more balanced. Make sure the soil is warm enough. If frost hits at night, then you can say goodbye to the harvest. Therefore, the optimal time here will be the beginning of June.

Growing tomato seedlings is an extremely important process, because it largely depends on whether the gardener can harvest at all. All aspects must be taken into account, from seedbed preparation to planting in the ground.

Landing scheme

Soil preparation should be done in advance. It is very important that the site is clean, free of plant debris. If it is open ground, then the place should be sunny, without tall trees and strong winds. Fertilizers, classic for planting tomatoes, are placed in the dug holes.

So that the sprouts do not compete with each other for nutrients, you need to focus on the scheme proposed by the originator of the variety. To do this, the holes will need to be placed at a distance of 30 cm from each other. You also need to pay attention to the distance between the rows - the minimum will be 0.5 meters. The planted sprouts are immediately watered and mulched. Arrangement of supports will also be necessary. Both pegs and trellises can be used.

Planting a tomato is a very important and painstaking business. In order to get a good harvest of tomatoes, you need to competently approach the issue of planting. When planting a tomato in the ground, it is necessary to take into account many factors - correctly determine the timing, prepare the soil, correctly calculate the distance between plants, take into account the rules of crop rotation.

Growing and care

In order for the seedlings to quickly adapt to new conditions, it is necessary to completely exclude watering for at least 7 days. After this, the procedure will need to be carried out every 5 days. At the same time, it is important to monitor the soil: if it is not completely dry, the terms must be shifted. Excessive moisture is very destructive for this variety.

Weeding and loosening is recommended every 10 days. This will get rid of the weeds. The pinching process will be no less important. If you ignore it, then the tomatoes will grow strongly, and the fruits will turn out to be small. The formation of a tomato is carried out in 2 stems. The procedure is aimed at thinning vegetation.

Several times during the season, tomatoes of the Love variety will require feeding. Typically, fertilizer is applied every 2 weeks. Organic substances should be alternated with minerals. It is worth remembering that chicken droppings, as well as mullein, must be divorced with water, otherwise a burn of the roots cannot be avoided.

Watering tomatoes is not difficult. After planting, the plant is watered at such intervals that the soil remains moist. In dry weather, when it does not rain for a long time, watering can be carried out every day, but usually the beds with tomatoes are irrigated 2-3 times a week.
The methods of tying tomato bushes can vary significantly, depending on the availability of available material, the method of fixation, and also the variety. In general, it is recommended to adhere to the following scheme: first, the central stems are grabbed, and then, as the fruits ripen, the lateral branches.
One of the important conditions for tomato agricultural technology is the correct formation of the bush. The formation of tomato bushes means performing the following steps: pinching, pinching, trimming the leaves, normalizing the ovaries.

A plant needs different micronutrients at each stage of growth. All fertilizers can be divided into two groups: mineral and organic. Folk remedies are often used: iodine, yeast, bird droppings, eggshells.

It is important to observe the rate and period of feeding. This also applies to folk remedies and organic fertilizers.

Disease and pest resistance

Love is the best variety for summer residents who are tired of fighting fusarium wilt and verticilliosis. However, the species is not immune from other ailments. If there is high humidity on the plot or in the greenhouse, late blight can affect the culture. Also, this variety does not disdain pests, especially aphids and whiteflies. If the harvest is still far away, the easiest way is to immediately destroy them with insecticides. But if the fruits are already ripening, you will have to limit yourself to folk methods.

Treatment and prevention of diseases and pests
When growing tomatoes in a greenhouse, diseases often occur due to a violation of the temperature regime and excessive humidity. The most common diseases are fungal (late blight, cladosporium, rot).
The fight against diseases and pests of tomatoes in open areas can be quite difficult. This is because nightshades are exposed to a wide variety of pathogens and insect pests.
