Lyubasha is one of the very successful hybrid domestic varieties. The culture is fruitful and unpretentious in care. It is extremely resistant to various diseases, as well as wrecking attacks. We recommend it for growing gardeners who are limited in their ability to often come to their plots.
Breeding history
The culture was obtained in 2016 by Russian scientists of the partner agricultural firm O. Kiramov and the originator V. Blokin-Mechtalin. At the end of the test cycle, in 2017, it was enrolled in the State Register and recommended for cultivation in a large territory of Russia, both on open soils and in closed conditions.
Description of the variety
An early hybrid, high-yielding, unpretentious in care. The culture is determinate, it grows up to 100 cm. Bushes are compact, oval in configuration, the stem system is strong, with firmly seated peduncles, which can withstand a substantial mass of fruits. The degree of foliage of the bushes is average, the leaf blades are dark green, of average size. The bushes keep their shape well, not spreading, but needing a garter and pinching.
The formation of plants in 2-3 stems is recommended. The first inflorescence with 7-8 fruits is formed above 5-6 leaves.
The culture is characterized by the possibility of the formation of two inflorescences in one internode, which are quite complete for the formation of fruits. This feature does not affect the taste properties of berries and the formation of clusters in other internodes.
The pluses of culture include:
- early maturity;
- the possibility of development in open and protected soil;
- excellent taste and versatility in use;
- synchronous ripening of fruits;
- good transportability;
- the difference from other early hybrid varieties is the undemandingness of additional fertilizing during the entire period of development, it will be quite good to fill the soil before planting;
- high degree of resistance to known diseases and pest attacks.
Culture requires full-fledged agricultural technology, so traditional procedures remain relevant:
- pinching;
- loosening;
- irrigation.
Of the minuses, we point out:
- the lack of the possibility of collecting seed material for its use in the future, since, being hybrid, it does not carry genetic potential;
- the variety experiences discomfort at prolonged low temperatures;
- the need to regularly loosen the soil;
- synchronous ripening of fruits does not allow them to be consumed fresh throughout the season.
The culture is resistant to apical rot disease, tolerant to TMV, Alternaria and Phytophthora.
The main qualities of the fruit
Fruits are round and flat-round in shape, with a smooth and dense skin, in the mature phase, red (no green spots on the stalks), weighing 140 grams. Fleshy consistency, medium density, pinkish tones, wonderful taste.Unripe fruits of light green shades.
There are 3-4 seed chambers, and the number of seeds in them is moderate. Due to the textured density of the fruits, they do not crack and have good transportability. By their purpose, they are universal - they are used both fresh and canned, they are also suitable for processing.
Taste characteristics
The fruits are juicy, quite fleshy, with a typical tomato delicate taste.
Ripening and fruiting
It belongs to early hybrids, with a ripening period of 80-85 days. Fruits are harvested from July to September.
Yield
A high level of productivity is one of the main advantages of the hybrid. On average, they collect 20 kg / sq. m, about 5 kg per bush.
The timing of planting seedlings and planting in the ground
The transplanting variant is usually planted in March. Seedlings are planted in the soil in May-June.
Growing tomato seedlings is an extremely important process, because it largely depends on whether the gardener will be able to harvest at all. All aspects must be taken into account, from seedbed preparation to planting in the ground.
Landing scheme
A typical planting scheme is implemented with a density of 5.5-5.7 plants / m2, 50 x 50 cm.
Growing and care
Lyubasha, as an ultra-early hybrid, is grown by the seedling method, planting seeds directly into the soil can be done only in warm regions of the country.
Planting seedlings is carried out in such a way that by the time the bushes are placed on the beds, they are about 45 days old. And about a week more - from disembarkation to emergence of seedlings.
The required soil condition is loose and fertile in composition. The composition of the mixture corresponding to the quality is bought in special stores or prepared independently with:
- humus;
- sand;
- peat crumb;
- sod land;
- complex mineral fertilizers.
The composition is spilled with a solution of crimson manganese. Seeds, like all hybrid crops, are treated with fungicides, and therefore they cannot be soaked and germinated. During sowing, with further diving, they are placed in containers in a row, with a distance of 4-5 cm. Dived seedlings have more developed roots and strong stems, there is a high probability that the bushes will not stretch out, they will not rush to the flowering process.
When the first sprouts appear, the planted young growth is placed in the brightest place, maintaining a stable temperature regime:
- at night - 18 ° С;
- in the daytime - 22-24 ° С.
In case of a lack of illumination, backlighting is carried out, the recommended degree of illumination should be maintained for 12-14 hours. After the appearance of 2 true leaves, a pick begins. For this purpose, the containers are filled with the same soil consistency in composition, and then one bush is planted in them, deepening each one to the leaves, abundantly irrigated and continue to grow them in the same conditions. Irrigation is carried out as the soil dries up, fearing waterlogging, since excess moisture can harm.
Before planting, the plants are hardened in a typical way, gradually increasing the duration of their stay on the street.
Ridges for culture are organized ahead of time, with the addition of humus and mineral fertilizers. During planting, the bushes are buried as much as possible, if they have not yet bloomed.In other cases, only a slight deepening is allowed, since the color will fall off, and the first brush will not bear fruit.
Lyubasha - the culture is early maturing and ripens amicably, so there are enough fertilizers added before planting - no additional fertilizing is required. Only standard procedures are carried out:
- irrigation in the absence of precipitation;
- weeding;
- loosening;
- mulching.
With prolonged precipitation, the culture is covered with a film to exclude diseases.
During the formation, stepchildren are removed:
- if the variety is to be developed into 2 stems, then the stepson who is behind the first flower brush is not eliminated;
- if you want to develop a culture of 3 stems, then one more stepson, located in front of the flower brush, is not eliminated.
In the course of fruit setting, remove the lower foliage. Pinching during the cultivation of Lyubasha is not needed.
A plant needs different micronutrients at each stage of growth. All fertilizers can be divided into two groups: mineral and organic. Folk remedies are often used: iodine, yeast, bird droppings, eggshells.
It is important to observe the rate and period of feeding. This also applies to folk remedies and organic fertilizers.
Disease and pest resistance
Lyubasha rarely gets sick, because the plant manages to leave late blight (early variety). However, planting it near potatoes is impractical. Lyubasha has genetic protection against other diseases. In rare cases, the culture is sprayed once with a solution of Bordeaux liquid, and marigolds are planted around the planting, which helps to protect against pests.
