The Miracle of the Market variety is ideal for commercial cultivation. The plant is powerful, productive, begins to bear fruit early, and their yield does not decrease until the cold weather. The fruits are large, very beautiful, tasty and mellow.
Description of the variety
Indeterminate hybrid, 150-160 cm tall, with the possibility of unlimited growth, with medium green foliage. Average leafiness. The bush is powerful, with thick stems.
The main qualities of the fruit
Fruits of a classic tomato shape, flat-round, large, weighing 150-200 g. Ribs of medium size, convex. Tomatoes are shaped like small pumpkins. The color of unripe fruits is light green. At the stage of marketable ripeness, the tomatoes are pure red.
The pulp is smooth, bright red, oily, dense, sugar. The seed chambers are medium-sized, numerous, evenly distributed throughout the fruit. The walls between them are thick. The inside of the fruit is both dense and juicy. Shelf life without any changes in taste and appearance - 2 weeks.
Taste characteristics
The taste is sweet, with a slight sourness. The tomato is versatile. Suitable for fresh meals: sandwiches, salads, drinks. Also suitable for preservation in processed form: vegetable cuts, winter salads, sauces, ketchups, juices, pastas. It is ideal for sale, the fruits are large, of excellent size, dense, strong, rich in taste, without wateriness.
Ripening and fruiting
The variety is early, the first fruits can be removed as soon as 95 days after germination. The average ripening period is 105-110 days. Fruiting is long and gradual.
Yield
The yield is huge - 22-25 kg per 1 sq. m.
The timing of planting seedlings and planting in the ground
The term for sowing seeds is March, early April. Sowing too early is not recommended for early varieties, otherwise the seedlings will outgrow by the time of planting. Seedlings are planted in a permanent place in a greenhouse or in open ground in May - early June. The seedlings are 60-65 days old, the plants should have 6-7 full leaves and at least 1 flower cluster. To obtain super-early harvests in the greenhouse, sowing can be carried out earlier, but then the seedlings will need additional lighting.
Growing tomato seedlings is an extremely important process, because it largely depends on whether the gardener will be able to harvest at all. All aspects must be taken into account, from seedbed preparation to planting in the ground.
Landing scheme
For 1 sq. m - 3-4 plants.
Growing and care
The Miracle of the market variety is unpretentious, active, it will best show itself either in greenhouse conditions, or in the southern regions in the open field. Basic rules of care.
The soil for planting must be nutritious. Half a bucket of humus is poured onto 1 landing hole, 1 glass of sifted high-quality ash, 2 tbsp. l. superphosphate. High-quality ash is obtained by burning plant tops, straw, birch or pine wood.
The plant is formed into 1-2 stems. The stems are tied to a support. One bunch of the Miracle Market variety contains 5-6 large heavy tomatoes. A garter may be needed to avoid wrinkling. But it is best to harvest ripe or almost ripe fruits on time.
Watering. Tomatoes love abundant watering, their yield depends on this. Water with warm water, under the root, avoiding water getting on the leaves and fruits. Watering should be regular and even, without moisture stagnation in between. If the tomatoes have undergone a long drought, watering is resumed gradually to the previous rate.
The variety is indeterminate, the removal of stepsons and the breaking off of interfering foliage will be required. The stepchildren break off, leaving a stump of 1-2 cm, with a sharp sideways movement. The foliage is cut off in the same way, to the side. Remove all leaves below the first ovary, other leaves as needed.
It is useful to shake the brushes during the flowering period, for better tying. For the same purposes, spraying with boric acid is carried out: 1 gram of powder is dissolved in 1 liter of hot water, stirred, and the solution is allowed to cool. Sprayed three times: when the flowers are just emerging, during the flowering period and during the period of fruit formation. The intervals between spraying are at least 10 days.
If the soil has been well prepared, there is no need to fertilize. However, during the fruiting season, 1-2 times can be fed with a complex mineral fertilizer containing potassium, calcium, boron, zinc. This will make the tomatoes even richer in taste and prevent white, dense areas near the stalk from appearing.
Feeding option at the beginning of fruiting: for 5 liters of boiling water, 1.5 liters of wood ash and 10 g of boric acid, mix, allow to cool and top up with fresh water to a volume of 10 liters (it is convenient to use a standard bucket). Pour a half-bubble of iodine into the resulting solution, let it brew for a day. Before applying under the bushes, this infusion is diluted with water 10 times. 1 liter is enough for 1 bush.
The variety does not need pest treatments, it is very hardy, it tolerates short-term cold or heat without consequences. However, if a damp cold summer is ahead, spraying with "Fitosporin" will be useful. It is completely organic. Dissolve 5 g of the powder in 10 liters of water. Spraying is carried out on the leaf. Repeat in case of high risks after 5-7 days, for usual prophylaxis - after 2 weeks.
If spraying is inconvenient, for example, it is cold, the drug is used to water the soil. Ten grams of "Fitosporin" is diluted in 5-10 liters of water (5 - for newly transplanted plants, 10 - for well-rooted ones), watered like ordinary water. Watered with this solution once a month.
A plant needs different micronutrients at each stage of growth. All fertilizers can be divided into two groups: mineral and organic. Folk remedies are often used: iodine, yeast, bird droppings, eggshells.
It is important to observe the rate and period of feeding. This also applies to folk remedies and organic fertilizers.
Review overview
The variety was bred in 2007, few reviews, but they are all positive. The variety belongs to the category of unpretentious, resistant, vigorous plants, which, while not possessing exotic characteristics, make a very good impression. Strong fruits are harvested until the middle, sometimes even until the end of autumn. The final harvest is simply huge. The endurance of fruits and plants is excellent - not a single case of late blight is mentioned in the reviews.
The variety is suitable for those looking for a marketable early variety with large, "meaty" fruits and long-lasting returns.
