Nettle tincture is an effective and affordable vegetable garden fertilizer. The use of green substances for plant nutrition and increasing the fertility of the soil in the garden not only increases the level of yield of cultivated crops, but also reduces financial costs, since for the manufacture of most of the infusions, only nettle, water and some additional natural components (weeds, yeast) are needed , enhancing the effectiveness of feeding. For a long time, manure and bird droppings have been classified as organic fertilizers. However, not all gardeners and gardeners can afford to purchase them. As a substitute, sometimes green fertilizers made from weeds or green manure are used. It is worth noting that they are not inferior to them in terms of performance.

Organics, in contrast to inorganic complexes, are perfectly absorbed by plants through the root system. Nutrients in a chelated form act directly on the cellular structure. Organic waste is needed to increase the number of microorganisms and obtain humus.

Nettle infusions stimulate the growth of the aerial part of the plant, strengthen the roots, and activate the formation of ovaries. Nettles contain a lot of nitrogen required by tomatoes in the initial vegetative phase. Among other things, this green fertilizer contains iron, calcium, copper and magnesium. These components protect the seedlings from chlorosis, accelerate flowering and increase the number of ovaries.

The advantages of nettle tincture include:

• saturation of vegetation with important micro and macro elements;
• the speed of preparation of the infusion;
• harmless to vegetation;
• the possibility of using at all stages of the formation and development of tomatoes.

The disadvantages of nettle fertilizer include the fact that it does not affect the structure of the soil, and also has a repulsive, unpleasant odor.

Nettle infusion can not only fertilize the ground and water the beds with tomatoes, but also process the leaves of tomato bushes. At the same time, various recipes for making top dressing are used. The main ingredients of this fertilizer are the young leaves and greens of the nettle. Other herbs, chicken manure (droppings), ash, bread, yeast are mixed with them. 4. It is preferable to store the finished infusion of nettle in a sunny place.
5. To be able to speed up the fermentation process of the nettle mass, it is necessary to add ordinary yeast to the tincture.
6. The leaven that remains should not be discarded. It can be placed in a plastic tank and kept in a basement room until next season.
7. After treating tomatoes with nettles, they should be thoroughly spilled with water.

In this embodiment, the nettle infusion is prepared without auxiliary components. The cut grass is crushed and placed in a deep container (up to fifty percent of the total). The herbal mass is lightly tamped, poured over with heated water. The container is not completely filled so that 10 centimeters remain to the edge.

The container is covered with a lid and allowed to ferment. In order for the grass to completely give up all the useful components, the contents of the container are constantly stirred. When the color of the fertilizer changes to brown with a dark shade and the foam disappears, it can be used.

This method differs from ordinary nettle infusion only in that, together with the grass mass, a shredded loaf of bread is placed in the container. The container is filled to three quarters, as fermentation is more active. The tincture will be ready after 5 days. It is filtered off before use.

In this recipe, in addition to nettle leaves, the green part of dandelions is used. In addition, you can add other weeds growing on the site. The herbs are crushed and filled with them 2/3 of the height. Pour in a little sugar and pour over heated water. Feeding is allowed to brew for 10 days, stirring systematically.

In this embodiment, a container with stalks and leaves of nettles, filled with water, is covered on top with a polyethylene film. When the nettle decomposes, methane is released. Polyethylene does not allow it to go outside. The beneficial elements present in the structure of the nettle also remain in the fertilizer, because oxygen does not take part during fermentation. After 14 days, the biofertilizer will be ready.

To increase the effectiveness of nettle tincture, it is made together with chicken droppings or manure. Fill the dishes with chopped grass to 2/3 of the height. Pour water and add 100 g of chicken droppings for every 10 liters. The composition is left to ferment in a closed container for 15 days. It is advisable to install the container in such a way that the rays of the sun fall on it. Before use, the finished fertilizer is filtered and diluted with plain water in a ratio of 1:15.

In order to get green manure, cut stalks of nettles are placed on the beds, which are prepared for planting. Sprinkle on top with a mixture of the remains of rotted plants.

Nettle mulch is prepared in this way: a thick layer of freshly cut nettle stalks is placed on the surface of the ground. They will dry out soon and begin to decompose. The result is a thin layer of mulch, which retains moisture from the root system and feeds it with the necessary elements. You can mulch tomatoes in a greenhouse. Nettle and yeast infusion can be made by 2 methods.

1. Stir 100 grams of sugar in one liter of water and add 100 grams of compressed yeast, stir thoroughly until it is completely liquefied. Then add 2 l of water. The resulting mixture is removed to heat.After fermentation is complete, the nettle-yeast mixture is ready to use.
2. 10 grams of dry baker's yeast and 2 tbsp. l. sugar is stirred in 2 liters of heated water and removed to tune for 24 hours.

The prepared infusion of nettle is used for root watering, and the tops are also sprayed with it. In the first version, the tincture is diluted as follows: ten parts of water for one part of the fertilizer. In the second case, 20 parts of water are already used. Fertilizer obtained by methane fermentation technology is diluted with water in such a ratio as 1: 2 for root irrigation. When it is taken for spraying, 5 parts of water is used for one part of the tincture.

Before applying top dressing, the bushes are generously poured with clean water. If feeding is carried out immediately after planting seedlings in the ground, then 0.5 liters of infusion is applied. For adult vegetation, this volume is increased to one liter. The indicated dosage is not multiplied, otherwise fattening may begin in tomatoes.

Watering the plantings is carried out every 14 days with root feeding. When spraying is used, it makes sense to process the bushes once every 30 days. This fertilizer is intensively practiced during the growing season, only on the eve of the formation of fruits, the frequency of fertilizing is reduced.
