You can also use potato tops instead of tomato tops. The result will be just as effective.

Soapy solution with pepper

Since aphids do not tolerate anything hot, you can make a mixture with the addition of hot pepper. To prepare it, you will need to grind several pods, then pour all 10 liters of soapy water. Next, the solution must be left to infuse for 24 hours. After this period, the mixture must be drained, only then used for its intended purpose.

Application

First of all, you need to know that all prepared solutions against aphids are best used chilled. Small trees or shrubs can be treated with a spray bottle or garden sprayer. The solution must be filtered before this so that the mechanism does not fail.

But for spraying low vegetable crops, for example, eggplant, cabbage or tomatoes, even an ordinary broom is suitable. It is enough to dip it into the solution prepared in advance and sprinkle the rows in the garden or in the greenhouse with the solution.

Spraying to prevent the appearance of aphids can be done every 7-10 days. If a population of aphids was found on the bushes, it will be necessary to process the plants every 2-3 days until it finally disappears.

When spraying plants with soapy water, you shouldn't forget about ants either. After all, they are often the main carriers of aphids. The places where these insects accumulate must also be treated with a soap mixture. After a while, insects will disappear from the site.

Summing up, we can say that tar soap is an excellent remedy for fighting aphids. Using it, you can not only save money, but also significantly improve the quality of your harvest.
