For example, people with a height and body proportions that are different from yours, because this table can be adjusted in height, width and even the depth of the tabletop;
• if the house does not have a dining room, but there is space in the living room for a large table, it is better to opt for it and purchase it along with chairs. So two tasks are solved at once: stylistic (you will not need to waste time looking for chairs in the right quantity and the previously selected style of the rest of the furniture) and the task of accommodating guests and family members at the same table during a festive dinner, chatting with friends or playing with children. • there are also collapsible and folding models, they save space. By disassembling or folding these tables, they can be completely hidden until next use. But we must remember that their assembly and unfolding-folding will take time, they are usually purchased for a summer residence;

• the shape of the table can be changed, if it is a folding model, by turning a round table into an oval one, and a square one into a rectangular one.

The size of the table and its types are chosen depending on the area of ​​the living room and what needs to be placed in this room.

The standard height of the dining table is 70-75 cm; seat width - 60-70 cm; the area of ​​a standard tabletop is 60x120, 70x120 cm; folding models will increase their area by half or by a third.

When the living room area is small, but still allows you to place two tables, choose their types and sizes based on the required functionality.

Perhaps you have difficulties in choosing furniture of the opposite kind, it can be even more difficult to fill large spaces. Restrictions in this case will depend only on the chosen interior style.

Anything can be placed on a large area:

• large dining group;

If you do not like bright light and heat, and the living room windows face south and are very large, and even more so in the entire wall, you do not need to place a dining group or a conference table close to them. In this case, put a decorative table with chairs there, it will rarely be used.

Place a large dining room taking into account a free approach to it, at least a meter from the wall, taking into account the presence of a row of chairs, so that guests do not have to squeeze between them and the wall later, it should be stationary due to its size and weight. You can make the dining group the center of the composition by placing it in the middle of the room. The shape of the countertop is any - round, square, oval, rectangular, hexagonal, which is rare on sale, the main thing is that there is enough space in the living room for this luxury.

Small tables with a decorative function should be placed near the window in the hall. But if a beautiful view opens outside the window and it is comfortable to be at this window at any time of the day in any weather, feel free to put there your favorite table with upholstered furniture - armchairs, sofas, poufs, and make yourself comfortable. Just do not obstruct the radiators with this arrangement.
