• Practicality. The surface of the changing table must be water-resistant (this applies to plastic surfaces) or covered with a waterproof baby mattress (for wooden surfaces).

• Geometric dimensions. The changing table should be convenient first of all for the one who most often looks after the baby. Pay attention to the height of the table - it should be such that you don't have to bend over (otherwise your back will hurt, because in the first six months you will have to change diapers quite often). The larger the surface of the countertop, the more comfortable the baby will be.
• Security. The design of the table top should have high sides (but even if they are present, you cannot leave the baby unattended!). If the product is equipped with wheels, then they must have stoppers. In general, the diaper should be free of sharp corners and notches. Pay attention to all moving parts and mechanisms: they should not creak or walk with difficulty.
• Aesthetics. It is better to give up bright, flashy colors in the nursery, preferring soft pastels and neutrals.
