How to choose a transforming desk?

The writing desk is, without a doubt, an important attribute in the home. The so-called transforming tables are gaining more and more popularity. Many have already managed to be convinced of the practicality of such furniture and appreciate its advantages.

It is customary to call a transformer such furniture, the design of which can be changed depending on the needs of the owner. By purchasing a similar piece of furniture, you can solve many problems. The table can be made more comfortable during work, and many of the unpleasant consequences associated with improper placement behind it can be avoided. It can also be modified beyond recognition and, for example, turned into a bed. Thus, solving the problem of small-sized housing. And, of course, save money.

Based on the design features of the table, it may be possible:

• the change its height. This feature allows you to adjust the height of the countertop to the height of a particular person. In this case, a more comfortable stay at the table for the seated person is provided. This measure is the prevention of many diseases of the spine;

They are really comfortable, practical, often have an original design and are capable of solving many problems.

Based on the material of manufacture (often a transforming table combines a combination of materials), the following models differ:

• if this is a table with height adjustment, then usually its supports are made of metal, and the tabletop is made of wood, its artificial counterparts or tempered glass;
• children's desks, implying the ability to change the height and angle of inclination of the table top, are most often made of wood, its analogues or plastic. The bases of such models are usually reinforced with metal;
• tables that turn into another type of furniture with one movement of the hand are most often made of wood or its analogs - chipboard or MDF.

The adjustment system can be:

Mechanical, in turn, is subdivided into screw and stepped. Such a system is considered the most reliable due to the simplicity of its design.

The stepped system is a change in the height of the table supports by extending the inner leg from the outer one or vice versa and fixing them with plugs that are inserted into specially prepared holes. It is also possible to change the height of the furniture by placing the tabletop in a groove, installed above or below the previous one, on the supports. In this case, the angle of inclination of the tabletop is changed by moving the stop to the desired groove.

The electrical system is more convenient than the first option. Adjusting the table in this way is easy, simple and quick. However, such models are very expensive.

When choosing a table for a student, give preference to "growing" desks with the ability to change the angle of the table top. Such a model will not only preserve the health of the child, but also save you from unnecessary expenses in the future. After all, children grow up very quickly, an ordinary table will eventually have to be changed to a more suitable option. And many transforming models are designed for ages from primary school to graduation.

When choosing the color of furniture for children, stop preference for subtle tones. Because bright saturated colors will distract the child from the learning process.

The adjustment mechanism is also of great importance. If you are not going to adjust the children's table all the time, but only as the child grows, it is not worth spending money on an electric adjustment mechanism. Mechanical, in this case, will be enough.

If, while working at the table, you like or are forced to often change your body position, for example, to work either sitting or standing, then you better give preference to the electrical adjustment system.

If there is not enough space in the room, and you need to fit several interior items, take a closer look, depending on your needs, to such transformers as bed-table, wardrobe-table, or, for example, a table that transforms into a chest of drawers.

The problem of table loosening due to the curvature of the floors can be solved with the help of models, in which each table leg can be adjusted separately. Finally, you will be spared the need to put something under them.
