Wooden tables for a bath: selection criteria

• With a connecting strip. Popular and reliable model of tables with four legs. The size and shape of the countertop may vary;
• In a single quantity. These tables resemble a mushroom. It is a combination of one leg with a round table top. Small tables can accommodate 2-3 people, no more.

The size of the countertop is determined by the number of legs and the number of persons who can gather for such a product.

The configuration can be different:

• round - ideal for small tables;
• oval - a folding table of this shape looks quite interesting;
• rectangular - a standard model of a bath table, a solid option that will last for many years.

Sauna tables are a type of furniture that cannot be installed anywhere. Most often, the rest room becomes their habitat, that is, a relatively "cool" room with a moderate degree of air humidity.

Taking into account these nuances, materials for the manufacture of furniture for a bath must meet the following characteristics:

• safety (under the influence of high temperatures, the material should not release substances toxic to people);

When choosing wooden tables, you need to remember that wood is of different types, therefore it reacts differently to fluctuations in temperature and humidity. Manufacturers most often design tables from linden, aspen, poplar.

• Linden. The main quality is simplicity and a kind of softness in processing. The finished canvas retains its original appearance for a long time, has an attractive pink tint, a pleasant smell of essential oils, which manifests itself when the wood is heated.

• Pine. It has a resinous structure, which gives the finished product strength and durability, endurance to difficult internal conditions in bath rooms. Solid pine is easy to process, the cut stands out with a uniform shade, does not rot for a long time, especially if treated with a special tool. The only drawback is the large amount of resin released when heated. Because of this property, it is impossible to install pine furniture in a steam room - there is a high probability of getting burns.

• Cedar. Unlike pine, it does not have an increased resin content. The wood has a dense structure. The material lends itself well to processing.

• Red tree. This breed is extremely rare, belongs to the woody elite, and therefore the cost of mahogany products is high. In terms of characteristics, mahogany species are superior to many varieties. The only caveat is that you should not install tables near the steam room, the outgoing steam can spoil the appearance of the product.

• Poplar and aspen. They are distinguished by increased moisture resistance, pleasant natural shades, are easy to process, and do not crack over time. However, there is also a significant drawback: furniture from these breeds does not last as long as we would like. Therefore, tables made of poplar and aspen are not the best option for a bath. They can be used to make auxiliary devices: ladles, tubs and other details that are irreplaceable in the steam room.

All of the above species, except for pine, do not emit resins, which means they cannot leave a burn on human skin, they are easy enough to clean and dry very quickly.
