How to unlock a Samsung washing machine?

Automatic washing machines have become indispensable helpers for every person, regardless of gender. People are already so accustomed to their regular, trouble-free use that even the slightest breakdown, including a locked door, becomes a global tragedy. But more often than not, you can solve the problem yourself. Let's look at the main ways of how to open the locked door of a Samsung typewriter.

In automatic washing machines, special programs control all work. AND if the door of such a device simply stopped opening, that is, it was blocked, then there is a reason for this.

But there is no need to panic, even if the device is full of water and things. And do not frantically look for the phone number of a repair specialist.

Most of the time, the door of a Samsung washing machine gets blocked due to just a few factors.

• Standard lock option. It is activated when the machine starts working. There is absolutely no need to take any action here. As soon as the cycle is over, the door is also unlocked automatically. If the wash has already finished and the door still won't open, you should wait a few minutes. Sometimes a Samsung washing machine will unlock the doors within 3 minutes after washing.
• The drain hose is blocked. This problem occurs quite often. This happens due to the fact that the sensor for detecting the water level in the drum does not work correctly. How to proceed in this situation will be described below.
• A program malfunction can also cause the door to lock. This can happen due to a power outage or a surge in its voltage, an overload of the weight of the washed clothes, a sudden shutdown of the water supply.
• The child protection program has been activated.
• The lock block is defective. This could be due to the long service life of the washing machine itself or too abruptly opening / closing the door itself.

As you can see, there are not so many reasons due to which the door of the Samsung automatic machine can independently lock. At the same time, in any case, the problem can be solved independently if it is correctly identified and all the advice is clearly followed.

It is worth solving the problem in all cases, without exception, only at the moment when the program activated on the typewriter is over. If this is not possible, for example, as in the case of a clogged drain hose, then proceed as follows:

• turn off the machine;
• set the "Drain" or "Spin" mode;
• wait until it finishes its work, then try to open the door again.

If the reason was the activation of the washing machine, then here you can do it differently.

• Wait for the complete end of the wash cycle, if necessary, wait a few minutes, and then try to open the door again.
• Disconnect devices from power supply. Wait about half an hour and try to open the hatch. But this trick does not work in all models of cars.

In cases where the work of an automatic machine of this brand has just been completed, and the door still does not open, you need to wait a couple of minutes. If the situation repeats, then it is necessary, in general, to disconnect the device from the power supply and leave it alone for 1 hour. And only after this time the hatch should be opened.

When all the means have already been tried, and it was not possible to open the door, most likely, the lock of the blocking has failed, or the handle itself has simply broken.

In these cases, there are two ways out:

• call the master at home;
• make the simplest device with your own hands.

In the second case, you need to do the following:

• we prepare a cord, the length of which is a quarter of a meter longer than the circumference of the hatch, with a diameter of less than 5 mm;
• then you need to push it into the crack between the door and the machine itself;
• slowly but forcibly tighten the cord and pull it towards you.

This option makes it possible to open the hatch in almost all cases of blocking it. But it should be understood that after the door is opened, it is necessary to replace either the handle on the hatch or the lock itself. Although the professionals recommend changing both of these parts at the same time.

Another common reason for locking the door on washing machines of this brand is the accidental or special activation of the child lock function. As a rule, in most modern models, this operating mode is activated by a special button.

However, in the models of the previous generation, it was turned on by simultaneously pressing two specific buttons on the control panel. Most often these are "Spin" and "Temperature".

As a rule, to do this, you need to press the same two buttons one more time. Or take a close look at the control panel - there is usually a small lock between these buttons.

But sometimes it also happens that all these methods are powerless, then it is necessary to resort to extreme measures.

The Samsung washing machine, like any other, has a special emergency cable - it is this cable that allows you to quickly open the appliance door in case of any malfunction. But you shouldn't use it all the time.

In the lower face of the automatic machine there is a small filter, which is closed by a rectangular door. All that is needed is open the filter and find there a small cable that is yellow or orange. Now you need to slowly pull it towards you.

If the cable is missing, or it is already faulty, a number of actions must be performed.

• Turn off the power supply to the machine, remove all unnecessary items from it.
• Carefully remove the entire top protective panel from the instrument.
• Now tilt the machine carefully to either side. The slope should be such that the locking mechanism becomes visible.
• We find the tongue of the lock and open it. We put the machine in its original position and put the cover back in place.
