Sometimes the “home assistant” refuses to work, and indicators on the control panel blink. Or the selected program started, but after a while it stopped working, and all or some of the LEDs began to flash. The operation of the device can stop at any stage: washing, rinsing, spinning. By flashing the lights on the control panel, you can set the error code of the suspected malfunction. To understand what happened to the washing machine, it is necessary to decipher the combination of signaling buttons about the malfunction.

When the device is in working order, the lamps on the module light up in a certain sequence in accordance with the execution of the selected program. If you find that the device does not start, and the lamps light up inappropriately and blink at frequent intervals, then this is a breakdown alert. How the CMA notifies the error code depends on the model line, since the combinations of indicators differ in different models.

• Units of the IWUB, IWSB, IWSC, IWDC line without a screen and analogs report a malfunction with glowing lamps for blocking the loading door, spinning, draining, rinsing. The network indicator and the upper auxiliary indicators blink at the same time.
• Models of the WISN, WI, W, WT series are the very first examples without a display with 2 indicators (on / off and door lock). The number of times the power light blinks corresponds to the error number. In this case, the "door lock" indicator is constantly on.
• Indesit WISL, WIUL, WIL, WITP, WIDL models without display. The breakdown is recognized by the burning of the upper lamps of the additional functions in conjunction with the "Spin" button, in parallel, the door lock icon blinks quickly.

• F02 - tachogenerator malfunction. Only the Extra Rinse button flickers. When turned on, the washing machine does not start the washing program, one icon "Lock the loading door" is on.

• F03 - malfunction of the sensor that controls the water temperature and the operation of the heating element. It is determined by the simultaneously lit "RPM" and "Quick wash" LEDs or by the blinking "RPM" and "Extra Rinse" buttons.

• F04 - defective pressure switch or an electronic module for controlling the water level in the centrifuge. Super Wash is on and Soak blinks.

• F05 - water does not drain. Clogged filter or drain channel. The "Super Wash" and "Re-Rinse" lamps turn on immediately, or the "Spin" and "Soak" lights flicker.

• F06 - the "Start" button has broken, malfunction of the triac, the wiring was torn. When switched on, the "Super Wash" and "Quick Wash" buttons light up. The indicators "Additional rinse", "Soak", "Door lock" can blink at the same time, "Increased soiling" and "Iron" are continuously lit.

• F07 - failure of the pressure switch, water is not poured into the tank, and the sensor incorrectly sends a command. The device reports a breakdown by simultaneous burning of the buttons for the "Super-wash", "Quick wash" and "Revolution" modes. And also "Soak", "Turns" and "Re-rinse" can immediately flicker continuously.

• F08 - problems with heating elements. "Quick wash" and "Power" light up at the same time.

• F09 - control contacts are oxidized. The "Delayed wash" and "Repeated rinse" buttons are constantly on, or the "RPM" and "Spin" indicators blink.

• F10 - interruption of communication between the electronic unit and the pressure switch. "Quick wash" and "Delayed start" light up continuously. Or “Turns”, “Additional rinse” and “Door lock” flicker.

• F11 - problems with the drain pump winding. "Delay", "Quick wash", "Repeated rinse" constantly shine.

• F12 - communication between the power unit and the LED contacts is broken. The error is shown by the active "Delayed wash" and "Super-wash" lamps, in some cases the speed indicator blinks.

• F13 - the circuit between the electronic module and the sensor is brokencontrolling the temperature of the drying air. It can be determined by the lit "Delay start" and "Super-wash" lights.

• F14 - the drying electric heater does not work. In this case, the "Delayed start", "Super-mode", "High-speed mode" buttons are continuously lit.

• F15 - the relay that starts the drying does not work. It is determined by the blinking of the "Delayed start", "Super-mode", "High-speed mode" and "Rinse" indicators.

• F16 - this error is typical for devices with vertical loading. The code indicates the wrong position of the drum. The wash may not start at all, or work may be interrupted in the middle of the cycle. The centrifuge stops and the “Door Lock” indicator flashes intensively.

• F17 - depressurization of the loading door is determined by the simultaneous indication of the Spin and Re-rinse LEDs, and sometimes the Spin and Delayed start buttons are lit in parallel with them.

• F18 - the system unit is faulty. "Spin" and "Quick wash" are constantly lit. The Delay and Extra Rinse indicators may flash.

You can fix minor defects in your Indesit washing machine yourself. Only individual failures that relate to the control module should be resolved with the assistance of a specialist. The cause of the problem is not always mechanical failure. For example, the electronic control unit of a washing machine may freeze due to power surges. Repair of the unit must begin with the elimination of this error. To do this, it is enough to disconnect the device from the network for 20 minutes and turn it on again. If this does not help, then the cause of the malfunction lies in something else.

• Defective motor. First, check the voltage in the power supply and the functionality of the outlet or cord. Due to frequent power surges in the network, electrical mechanisms deteriorate. If there are problems with the motor, then it is necessary to open the back panel and inspect for wear of the brushes, windings and check the serviceability of the triac.In the event of a failure of one or more elements, they must be replaced.
• Problems with heating elements. Owners of Indesit brand devices often encounter this situation. A typical breakdown is the failure of an electric heating element due to excessive accumulation of scale on it. The element should be replaced with a new one.

• Sometimes the unit stops draining water. Check if there is a blockage in the filter or hose, if the impeller blades are jammed, if the pump is working properly. To eliminate the damage, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the filters, blades and hoses from debris.

• The lock of the loading tank refuses to work. Most often, the problem lies in the trapped dirt, from which it is necessary to clean the element. There are contacts in the locking device, and if they are dirty, then the door does not close completely, the signal to the rest of the appliance components is not received, and the machine does not start washing.
• The CMA starts pouring water for washing and immediately drains it. Triacs that control the valves are malfunctioning. They need to be replaced. With this problem, it is best to contact a home appliance repairman.
