How to open the door of the Hotpoint-Ariston washing machine?

Hotpoint-Ariston washing machines have proven themselves to be the best. But even such impeccable home appliances have malfunctions. The most common problem is a blocked door. In order to fix the problem, you need to understand the reasons for its occurrence.

If the washing process is completed, but the hatch still does not open, you should not rush to conclusions and think that the machine has broken down. There can be several reasons for the door lock.

1. Too little time has passed since the end of the wash - the hatch has not yet been unlocked.
2. A system failure has occurred, as a result of which the washing machine does not send an appropriate signal to the sunroof lock.
3. The hatch handle has malfunctioned. Due to intensive use, the mechanism quickly deteriorates.
4. For some reason, water does not drain from the tank. The door then locks automatically to prevent liquid spilling out.
5. The contacts or triacs of the electronic module are damaged, with the help of which almost all the actions of the washing machine are carried out.
6. Household appliances have a childproof lock.

If there are small children in the house, then parents specifically install a lock on the washing machine. In this case, there is no need to explain how to remove it. But it so happens that this mode is activated by accident, then it becomes unclear to the person why the door does not open.

Childproofing is activated and deactivated by pressing and holding two buttons simultaneously for a few seconds. On different models, these buttons may have different names, so more accurate information should be found in the instructions for household appliances.

There are also models that have a button for locking and unlocking. So, on the left of the control panel in the Hotpoint-Ariston AQSD 29 U model there is such a button equipped with an indicator light. Just look at the button: if the indicator is on, then the child lock is on.

If it turns out that Child Intervention has not been activated and the door still does not open, you should look for other solutions.

The door is locked, but the handle moves too freely. It is possible that the reason lies precisely in its breakdown. You will have to contact the master for help, but this time you can open the lid and remove the laundry yourself. This will require a long and sturdy lace. With its help, you need to perform the following actions:

• grab the lace firmly with both hands;
• try to pass it between the body of the washing machine and the door;
• pull to the left until a click appears.

If there is water in the drum, and the hatch is blocked, you need to try to start the "drain" or "spin" mode. If the water still does not go out, check the hose for blockages. If present, then the contamination should be removed. If everything is in order with the hose, you can drain the water like this:

• open the small door, which is located under the loading hatch, unscrew the filter, having previously substituted a container for draining the water;
• drain the water and pull on the red or orange cable (depending on the model).

After these actions, the lock should snap off and the door should be unlocked.

If the cause of the breakdown lies in the electronics, you must disconnect the washing machine from the mains for a few seconds. Then turn it on again. After such a reboot, the module should start working correctly. If this does not happen, then you can open the hatch with a cord (the method described above).

When blocking the hatch of the washing machine, do not immediately panic. You need to make sure that the child protection is deactivated, and then try to restart the wash cycle in order to eliminate the failure.
