So that the user can navigate in their actions, manufacturers have special icons on the instrument panels. This article will tell you about the symbols on Bosch washing machines.

To control the washing machine convenient and efficient, the manufacturer places special icons on the panel. Each of them denotes some important function. Designers try to convey the meaning of the options as clearly as possible with drawings. For example, a butterfly is associated with lightness and tenderness. Therefore, it is easy to guess that such an icon was chosen to indicate a delicate wash cycle.

Placing a full verbal description next to each button usually does not work - the dashboard is too small for that. The icons are more compact. At the same time, they carry a certain semantic load without overloading the design and allowing the technique to look attractive.

Of course, it is not always possible to understand what is meant the first time. That's why each unit is accompanied by detailed instructions explaining the rules for using the equipment and revealing the meaning of the symbols on the model case.

Depending on the model, your Bosch washing machine may have different icons on the panel. However, there are several general designations that are present on almost all units.

• A circle with a vertical stripe - this is food. Using this button, you can turn on and off the equipment.
• Stained T-shirt Is an obvious designation. This is an intensive mode for cleaning heavily soiled items.
• A basin with a vertical dash - pre-wash (soak) mode.
• Iron - ironing. Of course, you will not get ideally ironed laundry from the car, but you will not see strong creases on it either.
• A basin filled with water and an arrow pointing up, - an increase in the amount of water. When this function is activated, the wash takes longer due to the extra rinse. This mode is used in cases where it is necessary to completely remove the detergent from the laundry (for example, if a person suffers from an allergy to powder). This option will come in handy even if you accidentally poured more powder than required.
• Spiral - spin. You can turn it off if you want. Also, some models allow you to adjust the intensity of this process.

The cars of the middle or high price category have a display. It displays important data related to washing: temperature, maximum load, time remaining until the end of the process.

In addition, on such devices it is possible to track at what stage of cleaning the laundry is. This is helped by special indicators with bulbs that light up at the time of the start of the operation. Opposite each glowing circle there are also icons that make it possible to understand what is currently happening in the washing machine:

• a basin with soap bubbles - the washing process itself;
• container with water - rinse;
• spiral - spinning;
• arrow - shutdown.

In more detail, it is worth considering the various washing modes. The choice of the appropriate option allows you to clean the dirt efficiently without affecting the wear and tear of things.

• An image of a shirt with a hook on top, symbolizing a hanger - for synthetics. This mode assumes a temperature of 40 C.

• Drawing of a dress and a flower on it - for cotton and linen. The temperature, as a rule, can be chosen (from 40 to 90 C).

• Picture of dress and pants - for mixed fabrics. Temperature range - 40-60 C.

• Butterfly (or some kind of garment with a butterfly) - delicate treatment. It is ideal for silk, satin and other delicate delicate fabrics. The washing temperature in this mode is 30 degrees.

• Image of yarn in a skein - for wool. This mode simulates hand washing. It is performed at 30 C at low speeds.

• The picture depicting the sliders - for any children's clothing. Here, on the contrary, a high temperature is used to eliminate all bacteria and wash things as thoroughly as possible.

• Painted Pants - for jeans. Temperature range - from 40 to 60 C.

• Drawing a T-shirt with a number written on it - for sportswear. In this case, the water warms up to 60 C.

• Image of a jacket (or snowy mountain) - for winter clothing. This mode allows you to wash down jackets without the risk of getting a thing with a stray filler. Washing takes place at 40 C.

• Moon and stars - night mode. This solution is relevant for residents of areas where electricity and water are cheaper at night. Here the washing process takes place without spinning. The user can complete the process by pressing the appropriate button in the morning.

If desired, you can change the duration of the washing process. There are special options for this, indicated by certain icons.

• Alarm clock image - vigorous wash lasting 1 hour.
• Alarm clock half painted - half-hour work of the unit.
• Table clock shaded with ¼, - the fastest possible wash. In this case, the process will end in 15 minutes.

Of course, in such a short time (the last two modes), it will not be possible to fully wash things. But if the clothes are not heavily soiled and you only need to freshen them up a little, you can use this solution and save time.

If you need to drain the water, press the "drain" button. It is complemented by an icon depicting a pelvis with an arrow pointing down.

Operating a Bosch washing machine is a simple task that any housewife can handle. You just need to follow a few simple steps.

• Put clothes in the drum, selected by the main characteristics (material, color, type).
• To the detergent container add the required amount of powder. If you are using the prewash cycle, do not forget to add powder to the extra compartment.
• Select a program suitable for the selected items (cotton, wool, baby clothes, etc.).
• If necessary correct the temperature setting. If necessary, turn off the spin. Select additional functions (for example, ironing).
• Click the start button. More often, the icon next to it looks like an inverted triangle and two vertical stripes.

In order not to accidentally ruin the laundry during washing, it is important to follow some rules.

• Before washing be sure to look through the tags sewn into the inner seams of the garment... They indicate recommendations for the care of the thing, in particular the washing conditions (hand or machine, temperature regime, the possibility of automatic spinning and drying).
• Never wash whites and colors together. Otherwise, bright fabrics can shed and stain white items.
• If you are in doubt about choosing a mode for an expensive item of clothing, but there is no label, choose a delicate program.
• Don't experiment... Each program is designed taking into account the characteristics of different types of fabrics. Choosing the wrong mode can, at best, lead to a decrease in the quality of cleaning the laundry, and at worst, to deterioration of the fabric.
• If the garment has fittings, before placing it in the drum of the washing machine it is better to put it in a special bag.
