A wide range of "helpers" for the home is presented on the modern home appliance market. Among all existing appliances, the most widespread is the washing machine. Bosch brand washing machines are in great demand, which are characterized by quality, reliability, efficiency and durability.

But even these washing machines can fail. One of the most popular problems is the violation of the spin function. In this article, we will determine the causes of this breakdown and possible options for its elimination.

Possible user errors

If the spinning does not work in the washing machine, you do not need to panic right away. Perhaps there is no breakdown, but the rules for using the unit are simply violated. Yes, this is quite possible: anyone can simply press the wrong button and cause the device to malfunction.

The Bosch washing machine does not spin in the following cases.

  • The wrong program has been selected. The thing is that there are programs that do not provide for spinning or perform it at minimum speed. This refers to a sensitive, delicate and gentle wash, silk, wool, delicate laundry.
  • The revolutions are incorrectly set or the spin mode is completely disabled. If this is the problem, just wait until the end of the wash, and then start the desired mode.
  • Drum reboot. This is a very common reason the clipper won't wring.

First, take a close look at which buttons were pressed. If the mistake was made by the user, there is nothing to worry about, you can fix everything yourself. But there are other, more serious problems associated with technical irregularities in the operation of the device. This will be discussed later in the article.

Technical reasons

So, if you find that the "Spin" mode does not turn on, the laundry remains wet, the machine simply stopped spinning, but there were no errors on the part of the user, then the problem lies in the technical part.

Technical malfunctions in the spinning of the Bosch washing machine include the following points.

  • Irregularities in the operation of the water level sensor. This is a fairly rare breakdown. It is connected with a malfunction of the pressure switch, as a result of which the operation of the centrifuge is disrupted.
  • Damage to the tachometer. This is one of the main elements of the washing machine, which starts the motor of the mechanism. If there is a problem with this element, then the rotation of the drum will slow down, and there will be no spin at all.
  • Broken drive motor... This failure is the result of bearing failure. In the presence of this technical malfunction, the machine will wash, but it will not wring out.
  • Problems in the software module. There are Bosch washing machines, where a special mechanical programmer is installed. Very often in this module, failures can occur, which entail such consequences as the lack of spinning.
  • Clogged filter or pump.

Each of these faults must be repaired. You can try to fix some breakdowns yourself, but to eliminate others, you need the intervention of a specialist.

How do I fix the problem?

Let's analyze each case separately.

Repair of filters and pumps

This is a type of breakdown that you can definitely do with your own hands. For this you need:

  1. unscrew and inspect the trash filter;
  2. pull out the powder tray;
  3. remove the pallet and get the pump and drain pipe;
  4. inspect the branch pipe, use a multimeter to check the resistance on the pump.

After the filter is cleaned, and no problems were found with the pump and the pipe, you need to look for a breakdown in another place.

Drive motor repair

Of course, if you don't have experience and knowledge, you won't be able to repair the motor on your own, but you can check it. To do this, you need to dismantle and check the operation of the bearings. If they are not functioning properly, they just need to be replaced with new ones.

Checking the serviceability and repair of the pressure switch

To determine the malfunction of this element of a household appliance, follow these steps:

  1. unscrew the fasteners that secure the top cover of the unit;
  2. dismantle the cover;
  3. remove the pressure switch;
  4. clean the sensor tube and blow it through (measure the resistance level with a multimeter);
  5. if an element is found to be broken, it must be dismantled and replaced.

If no breakage is found in this element, look for the problem further.

Checking the control module

You will not be able to perform such diagnostics on your own. To determine a malfunction in the software, you must contact a specialist. The thing is, it has to do with electronics.

According to experts and manufacturers, in the event of a breakdown, it is advisable not to save money, but immediately seek help from professionals.

If the warranty period has not expired, you need to go to the Bosch service center, not forgetting the warranty card and receipt.

Preventive measures

In order for the washing machine to work properly and not break down for as long as possible, it must be properly operated. Follow these guidelines.

  • Remember to carefully check the pockets before loading items into the drum and remove from them anything that could damage the machine mechanism.
  • It is advisable to install special sensors for monitoring the voltage drop in the network on the electrical network. It's no secret that network drops happen, and they have a very detrimental effect on electronics.
  • Do not load the machine with too much laundry.
  • The amount of powder that you put into the machine should not exceed the allowable rate. Otherwise, its surplus will accumulate in the dispenser and soon clog the grate.

    In addition to the general listed rules for operating the unit, after each wash, the following steps must be performed:

    • rinse the dispenser and its installation site so that there are no traces of powder and moisture;
    • wipe the door cuff;
    • after washing, leave the door open for a while to allow the machine to dry inside;
    • do not use aggressive detergents to wash the drum.

    If you stick to these simple and time-consuming guidelines, your Bosch washing machine will last a long time and won't be a hassle.
