Many people are still convinced that Bosch products such as an automatic washing machine are made only in Germany, but this is far from the case. In connection with the increase in the production of equipment, the corporation has located its factories in many countries of the world. Similar models may differ depending on the country of manufacture.

About the brand

The famous Bosch company was formed in Germany at the end of the 60s of the twentieth century by merging departments responsible for the production of household and television equipment, no less famous brands Siemens AG and Robert GmbH. The holding has at its disposal more than 40 factories in many countries of the world.

They produce many different appliances that facilitate household activities: refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves, ovens and much more.

But one of the symbols of the company and its remarkable European quality is a German-assembled Bosch washing machine. A significant number of operators of washing installations want to have such a unit directly from Germany at home. What is the secret of such popularity of this particular brand? There are several reasons for this.

  1. Devices are going at one of four German factories by highly qualified specialists in accordance with European standards, therefore, the percentage of factory rejects tends to zero.
  2. Lifetime machines produced at parent plants, approximately 7 years longer than foreign analogues.
  3. New technologies, allowing to save on bills, are implemented much faster.
  4. The company maintains a flexible pricing policy, its products are often much cheaper to purchase than from other brands.
  5. A well-established and widespread network of service centers. And if suddenly your "assistant in the wash" needs repairs (which is extremely rare) or maintenance, then you can always order and receive original spare parts from the manufacturer.

Where is it collected?

The geography of enterprises assembling Bosch washing machines is very extensive, they are practically all over the world. At the moment the company has 37 foreign divisions located in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America.

In European countries

Factories are available:

  • in Poland - they assemble machines of the WAA, WAB, WAE, WOR series;
  • WOT is released on French territory;
  • in Spain - WAQ;
  • the Turkish division of this manufacturer produces machines of the WAA and WAB model range.

There are factories in Russia, located in the cities of Engels and Tolyatti, units of the WLF, WLG, WLX types come out of their conveyors.

In China

Of course, it was not without the "intervention" of China. The Celestial Empire produces equipment with markings WVD, WVF, WLM, WLO. Such machines differ from others in their larger capacity, they have drying and other additional functions.

In addition, there are 6 enterprises in Latin America. So, without exaggeration, we can say that Bosch household appliances are known throughout the world.

How to determine the country of origin?

At the moment, the corporation produces more than 500 models of automatic washing machines with vertical and horizontal loading methods. If the buyer is interested in a specific manufacturer, then it is worth studying the labeling of the unit. Having deciphered the letters and numbers in the model name, the client can get information about where the product was made.

All this data can be found quite simply: you need to look at the panel glued on the back wall or on the inside of the washing machine hatch. The information must be identical on both sheets. Also, a lot of data can be found from the serial number of the device. In 2016, the company introduced a new, more detailed labeling classification of washing machines. At present, the following information can be obtained from the letters and numbers of the number.

W - the first letter in the name, she points out that this is exactly a washing machine, since the company produces household appliances for other purposes. The second character indicates the model type:

  • I - built-in front-loading linen;
  • A - indicates that the depth is 60 cm, front type machine;
  • О - indicates that this model has a hatch on top, that is, it is a top-loading model;
  • V - means that there is a function of drying clothes;
  • K - already a full-fledged washer-dryer;
  • L - narrow washing machine;
  • E - built-in, equipped with a hinged door.

The third letter indicates the series of machines:

  • K, T - 6 series;
  • G, H - Series 4;
  • S, W - 8 series;
  • Y - Home Professional.

This information does not make much sense, but simply indicates that any changes have been made to these machines. The fourth and fifth digits indicate the maximum drum rotation speed per minute. The sixth and seventh symbols indicate the control method (touch or button). And the eighth sign carries information on design, color and other parameters. Then there are two letters that will tell you which country the products are made for. Attention - not what, but for what.

To determine in which country the Bosch washing machine was produced, it is worth paying attention to the serial number. The manufacturer is indicated by the first two digits in the number. For example, Germany - 40, Poland - 41, and so on. Next comes the year of issue (according to the last digit of the decade). The next group of numbers (4 and 5) is the month of manufacture, the next batch of seven numbers is internal information for manufacturers and service centers.

Then there are 4 characters indicating the number of this particular model. And the last digit is the control one, it exists to verify all the information.

There are a lot of fake equipment of well-known brands on the market, so you should pay close attention to such information.
