Adapters for the "Salute" walk-behind tractor: types and tips for choosing
Agricultural labor today is greatly facilitated by various units of small mechanization. These include "Salute" walk-behind tractors, which have special adapters. Such devices make the use of this tool more convenient. The exact characteristics and dimensions of adapters 01 and 02 for the Salyut-5 model will be given below, as well as a guide for self-production of this equipment.
Varieties
The adapter is an attachment for walk-behind tractors, in particular, for Salyut units. Such a device is a seat firmly fixed on a pair of wheels. With the help of an additional hitch, it is connected to the unit in a matter of seconds.
That is, when installed, such a walk-behind tractor turns into a kind of mini-tractor. It facilitates and speeds up the process of performing agricultural work.
The adapter for the Salute walk-behind tractor can be of the following types.
- Having steering control. Such a means of small-scale mechanization is actually a full-fledged mini-tractor. The adapter is located as close as possible to the steering wheel itself, which makes control simple and convenient. The seat is securely fixed and the operation itself does not cause any inconvenience.
- Equipped with a movable joint. It is believed that such an adapter is the easiest to make at home. Such attachments are attached to the walk-behind tractor using a special clutch, somewhat reminiscent of the hitch of a car for a trailer. But unlike the previous version, the unit with such an adapter is more complex and less maneuverable to control.
- If this is an attachment installed in the front of the walk-behind tractor, it is called the front adapter. If in the back of it, then, respectively, in the back.
In addition, all adapters available today can have both a long and a short drawbar. You should choose a specific type depending on the power of the Salyut walk-behind tractor itself and on the type and volume of upcoming agricultural work.
Characteristics and dimensions of adapters 01 and 02 for the Salyut-5 model
It is this type of motoblocks that are most widespread among individuals who are actively involved in agricultural work. But many do not understand what is the difference between the two types of adapter offered by the manufacturer. To understand the difference, you need to consider their characteristics.
- 01 - such attachments are better suited for small and medium-sized motoblocks. Adapter weight - 52 kg, maximum speed - 10 km / h, ground clearance - 35 cm. Average assembly time is 15 minutes. Wheel track width - 600 mm.
- 02 - has a weight of 78 kg, the ground clearance is 85 cm, the maximum speed is up to 1 km / h, the wheel track width is about 850 mm. The maximum assembly time is 10 minutes.
That is, adapter 01 is suitable for installation on medium and light motoblocks, but for processing large areas of land using powerful and heavy units, it is best to choose attachments of the 02 series.
How to do it yourself?
You can buy such attachments ready-made, or you can make it yourself. Moreover, in the second case, it will also be possible to save a lot. It is necessary to prepare a drawing of the future device in advance. You can create it yourself, you can use ready-made schemes. In addition to the picture, you will need:
- welding;
- two wheels;
- a set of tools - self-tapping screws, screwdrivers, pliers, and so on;
- a soft seat, and, if necessary, additional gardening tools, which are planned to be used in the future;
- sheet of steel, as well as pipes and an angle.
The procedure will be as follows.
- Creation of a drawing and its consistent study. When creating a drawing on your own, special attention should be paid to the further balance of the entire structure.
- Creation of the frame of the future attachment with a special fork, in which there should be a bushing. It is she who will be responsible for the agility of the entire unit in the future.
- Manufacturing of a body from a steel sheet with a side height of at least 300 mm.
- Now we install the soft seat at a distance of no more than 80 cm from the front end of the backbone beam, to which it is attached.
- Installation of additional attachments, if necessary.
- Testing the performance of a walk-behind tractor with an adapter and painting it.
With a correctly drawn up drawing of the future attachment, problems in its manufacture do not arise. And the work itself takes no more than two hours.
