In order for the flowers to have an attractive appearance, they must be properly cared for.
Description of the variety
The White Fairy variety is frost-resistant, therefore flowers are grown not only in the south, but also in the northern regions, as well as in the middle lane. The bushes are quite compact, since they rarely grow more than 70 cm in height. If we talk about the width, then there is spreading here.
A distinctive feature of the variety is its lush flowering. The owners of these roses claim that during the growing season, due to the abundance of flowers, the leaves are not even visible. It looks very unusual and attractive.
The stems are strong enough. There are few spines. The stems have small elliptical leaves. The foliage color is deep dark green.
Advantages and disadvantages
The variety has some advantages and disadvantages to consider before planting. The positive aspects include:
- abundant flowering;
- long vegetative period;
- pleasant aroma;
- frost resistance.
In addition, this variety is resistant to disease.
If we talk about the shortcomings, then it should be noted the presence of thorns, as well as some finicky care. Even a slight deviation from the rules of agricultural technology, a rose can react with a spoiled appearance.
Flowering features
The flowers are small, only 3-4 cm in diameter. The number of petals is no more than 20 per flower. The shape of the bud is classic. Abundant flowering. A distinctive feature of this variety is a delicate, unobtrusive aroma.
Many growers prefer to grow this rose variety due to the long flowering period. The fact is that it begins in July and ends only in October, when the first frosts come.
Landing
Roses can be planted both in spring and autumn. For this purpose, it is necessary to select and prepare a lighted area that is slightly darkened by other vegetation.
The soil needs fertile, loose, with a neutral acidity level. For normal life, roses require aeration and a good drainage layer.
On the prepared soil, you need to dig holes, place seedlings there, sprinkle with earth and water well. After that, it is necessary to build a shelter to protect the plant from the negative effects of the environment.
Growing and care
Immediately after planting, the plant requires proper and timely care. It consists of the following activities.
- Watering. It should be moderately abundant. It is not recommended to allow the soil to dry out.
- Loosening. In order for the roses not to suffer from gray rot, it is necessary to establish air exchange. To do this, it is recommended to periodically loosen the soil without damaging the root system.
- In summer, roses require pruning of wilted flowers and buds. If this is not done, then the development of diseases such as powdery mildew and gray rot is possible. In addition, dried flowers on the bushes do not look particularly attractive, spoiling the appearance.
- As a top dressing during the budding period, complex mineral fertilizers can be applied. A special need for these flowers is observed in potassium.
If you follow the rules of agricultural technology, then White Fairy roses can be successfully grown on the personal plot. They will become a worthy decoration of flower beds and will go well with other ornamental plants.
