Roses do not lose their popularity, maintaining a leading position among other representatives of the flora. This flower of amazing beauty is replete with a variety of varieties. Each of the species is unique in its own way. Some attract attention with a rich aroma, others with a bright color. The Bouquet Parfait variety was bred in 1989 in Belgium. Today it has taken root in many regions of Russia.
Description of the variety
This variety is recommended for group plantings. It is also actively grown for cutting. The variety belongs to the group - musky. The petals have a pleasant light pink color. The middle of the flower is creamy. When fully opened, the flower becomes white with a bright yellow eye in the center. The base color is marked pink. The buds are round, the flowers are rosette or spherical. The diameter is about 5 centimeters. These sizes are considered average.
Due to the large number of petals (from 40 to 50 pieces), the rose is densely doubled. Lush flowers are collected in inflorescences. One shoot can simultaneously grow from 8 to 15 buds. The multi-flowered inflorescences captivate with a weak but pleasant musky aroma. Outwardly, the opened flowers are very similar to peonies.
Note: a distinctive feature of the Bouquet Parfait variety is the color change of the petals. They are influenced by weather conditions. When cloudy, the color turns pink, and on a sunny day, the flowers turn cream.
Shrubs formed from upright shoots. This is a vigorous plant that requires ample space on the site. The maximum height is 1.5 meters (an average of 120 to 150 centimeters). The bush reaches 130 centimeters wide. Given the large size, when making group landings, you need to allocate a spacious area.
The color of the leaves is standard, deep dark green. The surface is glossy, with a shine. The foliage is medium. The thorns are practically absent. Due to this characteristic, the care of rose bushes is simplified.
Advantages and disadvantages
The main advantage of this variety is its flowers. Despite their small size, they are collected in lush and large inflorescences. During flowering, the bushes look like fluffy clouds of pink or cream color. This rose will be a key decoration for any garden. The Parfait bouquet will be in harmony with other garden plants. As another plus, the splendor of the flowers can be noted.
This variety also has disadvantages. Due to the large number of buds during flowering, the branches often tilt towards the ground. If necessary, supports are installed next to each bush, they must be strong enough to support the weight of the shoots. As the roses grow, they must be carefully fixed to the supports.
Flowering features
From the first days of summer, flowering begins, which lasts until October. The bushes will decorate the land until the cold weather arrives. The abundant intensity became the reason that the Bouquet Parfait cultivar quickly gained popularity among Russian gardeners. Flowering is repeated. After the end of this process, large berries remain in place of the flowers, inside which seeds are formed.
Use in landscape design
Roses with high decorative characteristics have always been highly prized by landscape designers and gardeners. The spectacular appearance of the Belgian variety has led to the fact that it is often chosen for landscaping and laying a garden. Even if there are many types of flowers growing in the flower garden, bushes with lush inflorescences will stand out noticeably against their background.
Scope of application:
drawing up bouquets;
decoration of premises for holidays;
registration of the local area.
Landing
The condition of the plant and the appearance of the flowers are strongly influenced by the composition and quality of the soil. Loam with the required amount of lime in the composition is perfect. The presence and occurrence of groundwater must be taken into account. They should not be located in the upper layers of the earth. Otherwise, the roots will start to rot.
It is advisable to plant roses in the fall from September to October. In the allotted period of time, the seedlings will have time to adapt and take root before the arrival of winter. If the planting was done correctly, the plant will bloom as early as possible with the onset of the next season.
Planting holes are prepared in advance. The minimum size is 60 centimeters. When choosing dimensions, you need to take into account the size of the bush and its root system.
The ideal plot is flat, densely sunlit and protected from drafts. With light shading, the bushes will also grow well and bloom profusely. When laying a garden, experienced gardeners are advised to take into account the neighborhood with fruit shrubs and trees growing nearby. Tall plants should be kept as far away from roses as possible to avoid infestations. When located close from fruit trees, pests can move to rose bushes.
Growing and care
The recommended density is 2 plants per square meter. The variety is resistant to heat, but does not tolerate the rainy season. The rose will take root remarkably in the northern regions due to its high frost resistance. And also the flower is not afraid of harmful insects and diseases.
It is not difficult to care for rose bushes, you just need to follow standard agricultural techniques. When watering, water is poured under the root. Periodically loosen the soil around the bush so that the soil is loose and easily allows water and oxygen to pass through. In some regions, despite the frost resistance, they cover the planting for the winter. The site is regularly cleared of weeds and other debris.
Faded buds should be removed immediately so that berries do not form in their place. Their appearance shortens the flowering period of the bushes.
Watering roses is desirable with settled and warm water. The work is carried out during the hours of less solar activity, a cloudy day is ideal. During the watering process, it is important to ensure that moisture does not get on the leaves.
Another component of agricultural technology is to cover the ground with a layer of fertile mulch. Organic matter will gradually penetrate into the ground and then nourish the plants.
Fertilizers are applied several times throughout the season. In spring and summer, roses are fed with compositions with a high nitrogen content, and with the onset of autumn they switch to phosphorus-potassium. It is recommended to treat flowers with special solutions as a preventive measure for diseases. To keep your rose bushes healthy, you also need to regularly sanitize pruning.
Pruning
In the fall, before the onset of winter, it is imperative to perform shaping and sanitary pruning. During work, they get rid of old and deformed shoots. And they also completely clear the bush of the strongest and strongest shoots in order to start the active growth of new ones. In the current season, the weakened growth is removed.
