In just a few years, this variety has gained quite a lot of popularity among flower growers from different countries. In order to grow Beverly roses on a personal plot, you need to plant them correctly, and then observe all the subtleties of care.
Description of the variety
Beverly belongs to the group of hybrid tea roses. They are intended for cutting, as well as for growing in the garden as a standard specimen. In terms of appearance, the bushes look quite compact. The height does not exceed 70 cm, and the width is no more than 50 cm. The stems are strong, leafy enough. Leaves are medium in size, bright green in color.
A distinctive feature of this variety is its high frost resistance. Flowers tolerate temperature changes with ease. They are also resistant to various diseases, in particular, powdery mildew and black spot.
Advantages and disadvantages
Like other varieties, Beverly has advantages and disadvantages. There are many more positive points, and they are as follows:
- abundant flowering;
- roses are undemanding to care for;
- easily tolerate the negative effects of the environment;
- have a pleasant aroma.
On the negative side, it should be said that roses do not tolerate prolonged exposure to sunlight. That is why experienced gardeners recommend growing them in a semi-shaded area.
Flowering features
Large cupped flowers with a diameter of 9 to 11 cm are pink in color. The petals have insignificant white blotches. One stem contains 1 flower with 40 to 45 full-fledged petals.
The flowering period is quite long, since it begins in the middle of summer, and ends only with the onset of cold weather. Separately, it should be said about the aroma. It is intense, bright, sweet, with minor citrus notes.
Landing
It is quite simple to plant roses of this variety on a personal plot. To do this, you need to purchase seedlings in the nursery (or grow them yourself), then prepare the site and plant them.
There are certain requirements for a flower bed. It is better if it is in partial shade, although it can also be grown in a sunny area. The process consists of several stages.
- Dig up the soil in the flower bed. If it is not fertile enough, organic fertilizers can be applied.
- Dig a hole, arrange a drainage layer of several centimeters. Sprinkle with moist soil.
- Move the seedling to the prepared place, taking care not to damage the root system.
- Sprinkle with earth and water well.
For the first time, you need to make a greenhouse as additional protection.
Growing and care
For further life, roses need constant and timely comprehensive care. It includes the following procedures:
- watering (as the soil dries up);
- loosening the soil;
- pruning of diseased and dry shoots.
At least sometimes roses need feeding. For this purpose, it is recommended to use complex mineral fertilizers, which contain the following elements:
- nitrogen - necessary in spring and early summer, as it stimulates the growth of shoots and foliage;
- potassium - strengthens immunity, helps to resist diseases;
- phosphorus - intended for nutrition of the root system;
- magnesium - is necessary during the budding period;
- trace elements - help to improve the general condition.
If you follow all of the above recommendations that relate to planting, care and cultivation, then you can observe beautiful rose bushes of the Beverly variety on the garden plot.
