Advertising never tires of convincing people that a vacuum cleaner should be equipped with containers, not bags. But in practice, things are a little different. Let's try to figure out why marketers are wrong and how to choose the right version of vacuum cleaner bags.

Peculiarities

The use of bags for a construction vacuum cleaner, as well as for household models, is proving to be a very popular solution. And it's not just about some fashion or consumer needs. The main reason for this user priority is the affordable price of the bag versions. Even the simplest container vehicles are more expensive on average.

Industrial vacuum cleaner bags should be able to clean:

  • workshops of plants and factories;
  • workshops;
  • warehouse premises;
  • construction waste;
  • fine litter generated during repair and decoration.

Harvesting equipment manufacturers can offer an abundance of accessories. But even the bags that are of impeccable quality, which are included in the kit, fail over time. And it happens much faster than in household devices. And the most careful use only delays the problem, but does not solve it at all.

Construction waste is rich in dense, sharp particles and is also quite heavy. As a result, the bag will inevitably break. Failure of air filters is accelerated. Microscopic dust particles and harmful microorganisms will freely come out.

Selection recommendations

Industrial vacuum cleaners, despite all the differences between individual designs, are equipped with bags of only two types - textile (reusable) and made of paper.

For fabric bags, the following can be used:

  • synthetic matter (in the form of many layers);
  • non-woven fabric;
  • satin.

Satin products are practically not used anymore... The only motivation for buying them is a long service life. But all other solutions are much more practical and convenient. In the late 2000s, dust particles appeared on the market. bags based on synthetic threads. They collect large amounts of dust easily. What is important, there are no seams sewn with needles either.

But synthetic dust collectors are expensive. And yet their mechanical strength is unlikely to satisfy consumers. That's why the most popular solution turns out to be an almost universal non-woven bag... In most cases, a two-layer non-woven material is used. The high quality of such products is at least confirmed by the fact that they are used by the Makita concern.

Non-woven fabric has an unusual fiber structure. It allows you to clean the air very efficiently, using a minimum amount of energy. In this case, the dust collector will be able to retain particles with a size of 1-4 microns. Some people still believe that paper storage is the best choice. You will have to replace the paper bag after the first use. However, it surpasses even non-woven products in retention capacity.... It is possible to stop the spread of the smallest particles. As a result, auxiliary filters are used for a very long time.

The only weakness of paper bags is that they are not suitable for picking up sharp particles. If they break the dust container during operation, the motor and outlet filters will certainly have to be changed (and this is not so cheap).

What else should be considered?

In addition to the material of the dust accumulator, it is required to pay attention to its capacity and method of fixing. When evaluating the capacity of the chamber, it must be borne in mind that the vacuum cleaner will pull in well only when filling it up to a maximum of 50%... It is almost impossible to remove a filled bag without damaging it. And even in this case, you can use it only once after replacement.

It is categorically impossible to put paper containers if you plan to remove water or a very wet surface.

As for the size, everything is simple - there is no particular point in purchasing bags shorter than 20 cm in length. Yes, shortened versions prevail on sale. But this is exactly the case when finding a rare product makes life easier. The main thing is that the dust collector fits freely in the vacuum cleaner.. And don't forget to check that the retainer holds the neck tightly.
