• difficult to start or stop;

The engine is hidden inside the case. The device belongs to the "tangential type", that is, air is drawn in in the center, and it is discharged at the periphery. Before going outside, it passes through a protective filter.

Acquaintance with the diagrams and drawings of the vacuum cleaner will show where the brushes are located and what they are made of. Gradually the brushes are grinded in the middle. As a result, after some time they can no longer touch the collector, and the work goes wrong.

No matter what exactly happened, you almost always have to open the body of the vacuum cleaner. They do it like this:

1. remove all filters;
2. unscrew the external screws;
3. remove latches and other fasteners if necessary.

The next step is to disconnect the electrical components, they are mainly done on the connectors. The motor is unscrewed from the bed, then the motor is pulled out of the housing (but in some models it is enough to remove it from the grooves-seals).

Then comes the turn of the disassembly of the engine itself. To do this, remove the casing part located upward from the impeller, carefully bend the casing from the side with a screwdriver or other thin metal object. The longest part should go into the middle. Then they make another movement (carefully!), Pushing out the top of the casing.

The impeller is now available. The nut that holds it is usually on the left, although there are other examples. In any case, you should try to unscrew it while holding the impeller with your other hand. In such a situation, they take a stranded cable thicker than 0.15 cm, covered with thick insulation, and push it inward.

When the impeller is removed, you can unscrew the screws on the housing. At this point, the brushes should already be removed. Then they carefully remove the anchor, and sometimes you have to twist it from above.

Bearings often need to be removed with a handy tool or, in the most difficult situations, with a special type of hydraulic press.

It so happens that the Karcher vacuum cleaner does not suck up dust well. This is almost always due to overflowing air filters or bearing failure. Clean the filter first. Then they watch how the device works after cleaning, including with the filter removed... Occasionally, cleaning is no longer able to solve the problem, and the filter can only be changed.If the draft is broken even without filters, a complete disassembly of the vacuum cleaner will be required.

In addition to the impeller, sometimes it is necessary to repair the brushes and remove carbon deposits from the collector. This can be done either with sandpaper with a zero grain fraction, or with an ordinary cloth.

If the vacuum cleaner does not turn on, this is also not a reason to panic. The first step should be to check the voltage in the house as a whole and in the outlet.... From time to time, inexperienced craftsmen disassemble almost the entire device by screw, while it is enough just to wait for the network failure to be eliminated. If there is current, you must disconnect the vacuum cleaner from the outlet, disassemble it and carefully inspect the fuse, power cable. It is advisable to check with a tester whether there is a contact or not. Experts recommend immediately assessing the state of the launch button and its contact.

When all these checks have turned up nothing and the brushes look intact, things take a serious turn. It will take a rather long and complex motor repair in a service center. Sometimes the control electronics are repaired or changed, but this also cannot be done at home. However, if the vacuum cleaner stops after a long period of operation, it is possible that it froze on the command of the overheating relay. Then you just have to wait until the temperature returns to normal.

The inability to change the rate of rotation of the motor is usually associated with the breakdown of the triacs. It can be expressed both in the breakdown of the part itself, and in the violation of contact with the control board. In the second case helps to press the knob to the surface.

If unusual odors occur and hot air is discharged it is necessary to check whether the suction channel is overfilled... The air pulling force is evaluated both in the hose and in the hole itself. If everything is in order, there is a breakdown in the motor.

If the Karcher vacuum cleaner does not spray water, it is often believed that the tube has burst. This conclusion is confirmed by thin streams of liquid flowing out. But when nothing comes out, the problem may be a breakdown of the pump or its starting system. No less it is important to check if the water tank is intact...
