Inside the case there is a power supply, a certain number of LEDs and a switching power supply. The staples are used as a fastening mechanism, so, if necessary, the light can be directed in any direction. The equipment is designated by the abbreviation RGB, which means three colors. This term describes how red, green, and blue are used to produce different hues. Thanks to this technique, the full spectrum of colors that a person can perceive is synthesized.

It should be noted that the design of the floodlights resembles LED chips. Crystals are soldered inside the plastic case, which are designed to generate optical radiation of one color or another. For example, mixing green and red without blue produces yellow, and blue and red produces magenta. If necessary, you can adjust the brightness of different crystals to obtain the desired shade. Inside is a PWM controller that performs the task of generating pulses.

RGB floodlights have a lot of advantages, but at the same time they are not without some disadvantages, which you should familiarize yourself with.

LED equipment is available in a wide variety of modifications. The advantages include ergonomics, low power consumption, a wide range of sizes, the ability to take different lenses in order to establish the optimal direction of the light flux. Such a spotlight gives high brightness, the shades are saturated, and it can last up to 10 years with regular work for 12 hours. It should be noted that the equipment does not require any special maintenance - it is enough just to clean the glass from dust and dirt. It is durable, reliable and economical with minimal heat dissipation. The floodlight instantly turns on, works silently and gives good color rendering, while it does not flicker.

Spotlights have become an excellent replacement for conventional incandescent, halogen and other lighting fixtures. As mentioned above, the device can be adjusted to direct the light to a specific location, which is not possible with other lamps. If necessary, it is possible to change the shade, the assortment is multicolored. The unit is resistant to mechanical damage, so it is perfect for outdoor use. The LEDs are housed in a thick protective glass that is very difficult to break.

As for the disadvantages of spotlights, the main one is the high cost, so you will have to spend money to purchase one device. But the equipment pays for itself in the first months of use, moreover, it is an investment for many years. Another disadvantage is the hard-to-hide power supply, and it is not easy to replace it if it fails.

RGB fixtures are offered in different versions, each with its own characteristics. One of the characteristics is power, therefore, on the market you can find floodlights with indicators of 10, 20, 30, 50, 100 and 150 W. Manufacturers produce units with a housing of different shapes, besides, the equipment differs in purpose. If the case is rectangular or square, it is often used to illuminate posters, advertising signs and billboards.

Matrix floodlights are equipped with LEDs that fit tightly to each other on an aluminum substrate, so heat dissipation is effective.

There is a linear view of the spotlights - the name comes from the type of board on which the LEDs are arranged in a row. This configuration will be an excellent solution for decorating window openings, shopping centers. Monochrome devices emit pure spectral color, they have a simple design, a huge resource and economical power consumption. If you need a lot of shades, it is better to choose a multi-color LED spotlight, in the controller you can set the speed of changing colors, creating various effects.

Another type of spotlights is a point one, it is equipped with a remote control panel and a programmable controller. Most often, such equipment is used to illuminate facades, attractions and banners with advertisements. With the built-in controller, you can adjust the color, type of flicker, set up smooth switching with just one click. It should be noted that the color device can also be used indoors, it does not take up much space, is lightweight and gives excellent lighting. Rechargeable devices are often used during field trips, as they are not stationary. Such a unit can be suitable, for example, for examining the scene of an accident.

Due to a number of technical characteristics, floodlights have found wide application in various fields. If we talk about colored LED devices, it is often street lighting that can be used to create a beautiful effect. Often the equipment is used to illuminate an aquarium, pool and fountains, as well as for the presentation of architectural objects. The underwater floodlights are equipped with a housing that protects from the environment, they are essential for aquarium plants. Lighting devices have become an excellent solution in the field of simulation of dynamic light effects. Thanks to the ability to change the color scheme, you can create a stylish landscape design. On large areas, several devices are used at once, and in order for them to shine synchronously, specialists connect them to a single system with the help of which control and adjustment takes place.

When looking for a model of a spotlight, you need to take into account the place where it will be located in order to choose the right intensity. If you need to illuminate a cottage, 50 W of power will be enough, but for decoration of a festive design it is better to use powerful colored projectors, which are distinguished by increased brightness, besides, you can adjust any shades. It should be noted that on the market you can find a unit with forming lenses - flood and narrow beam projectors. The latter emit pure colors that cannot be obtained with the best light filter.

The spotlight connection diagram is simple, anyone can handle the installation, you just need to follow the instructions. A Phillips screwdriver is used as a tool. If the connection point is far from the device itself, it is better to fix the wiring with special mounting brackets. It is important to strip the ends of the wiring that are connected to the board through the terminal. To connect the device, you will need to use the following circuit: the yellow wire is for grounding, the red wire is for the phase, and the blue wire is zero. The phase must be determined with a screwdriver with an indicator. It is important to choose the right wiring considering the wattage of the LED spotlight. For example, intensities up to 50 W are compatible with copper-bonded wire 1-1.5 mm2. If it is more serious equipment, the wiring should be thicker.

Remove the terminal box fixing, put the cable in the gland and connect it to the terminal block. After that, it remains to close the box lid, fix the spotlight itself on the bracket, and install the entire structure in the right place.
