Description of Egoza barbed wire and the secrets of its installation

Egoza barbed wire has long been a leader in the domestic market of light-transmitting fences. Egoza barbed wire is a type of security fence produced by the trademark of the same name. The Chelyabinsk plant, where it is produced, is part of the Russian Strategy LLC group of companies. Among his clients are state structures, objects of nuclear, thermal, electric power, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Flat belt designs have more varied technical characteristics. The manufacturer produces several types of Egoza wire... All products have common features: made of steel or galvanized tape, the presence of sharp spikes. All varieties have high strength and reliability, have a long service life, can be mounted both along the perimeter of existing fences, and independently, supported by pillars.

The main purpose of the Egoza wire is to protect objects from unauthorized entry. In places of grazing, it is used to prevent or stop the movement of the animal outside the designated area. In industrial, military, secret, guarded facilities, in water protection and nature protection zones, in places with limited access, barbed wire acts as a protective barrier, allowing not to block the visibility and access to natural light, as is the case with solid fences.

Depending on the type of product, its installation can be carried out in different ways. Most often, this wire is used for:

• creation of fences around the perimeter of roofs;
• fixation on vertical racks (in several levels);
• installation on supports with a horizontal tension string for 10-15 sections;
• laying on the ground (quick deployment).

All these features make barbed wire a popular solution for use in various types of facilities.

Several types of products are produced today under the name "Egoza". They all have different external data and characteristics. The simplest type is wire or threadlike, looks like a steel cord. It can be uniform, with an inextricable interweaving of elements in the bay and pointed spikes directed to the sides. Corrugated wire this type is woven in the form of a "pigtail", which increases its strength characteristics, the number of spikes and veins is doubled.

Barbed wire is not only round - it can be carried out in the form of a tape. Such "Egoza" has a flat structure, spikes are located along its edge. Since the strip wire is made from a galvanized strip of metal, it is quite easy to cut with special tools. This greatly limits its independent use.

They are divided into 2 categories.

1. ASKL... Reinforced tape twisted and wrapped around the wire reinforcement. This type is quite popular, but not very reliable - it is easy to dismantle it, freeing the passage. In this case, the number of thorns increases; externally, the fence looks quite impressive.
2. ACL... The barbed reinforced tape in this design is wrapped and rolled in the longitudinal direction on a flexible core. The design is resistant to mechanical damage, strong and durable. The standard tape thickness is 0.55 mm, the profile is equipped with double-edged and symmetrical spikes.

It should be noted that, according to the standard, the Egoza-type wire should be made exclusively of galvanized wire and tape of the established samples.... The core diameter is set at 2.5 mm. The thickness of the tape for combined products varies in the range from 0.5 to 0.55 mm.

Considering this characteristic of barbed wire, 2 main categories can be distinguished.

1. Elastic... It provides a high level of strength and rigidity to the material. This type is intended for creating long-span fences.
2. Soft... Annealed wire is used for its manufacture. She is very flexible, easily takes the right direction. It is convenient to work with such material when installing short sections of the fence, complex in shape. Soft wire "Egoza" is easy to use in everyday life.

Barbed wire "Egoza" AKL and ASKL has a tape design. But under this brand, volumetric and flat fences are also produced. They allow you to quickly deploy the structure on the ground, to cover large areas on any type of terrain. Here are the most popular options.

• SBB (spiral security barrier). A three-dimensional structure is made of AKL or ASKL wire by winding with staples staggered in 3-5 rows. The finished fence turns out to be springy, resilient, voluminous and difficult to overcome. It is almost impossible to push it apart or bite it with tools.

• PBB (flat safety barrier). This type of product has a spiral structure, flattened, with loops fastened together by staples. The flat structure is easily mounted on poles in 2-3 rows, without going beyond the general limits of the fence, looks more neutral, better suited for installation in public places.

• PKLZ... A flat type of tape barrier, in which the wire is laid diagonally in rows, similar to the cells of the chain-link mesh. The tops of the rhombuses formed from ACL are fastened with staples made of steel with a galvanized coating. The cloth is produced in pieces of 2000 × 4000 mm. The finished fence turns out to be reliable, resistant to forcing.

When choosing a suitable Egoza barbed wire forit is important to understand exactly what requirements are imposed on the fence... Products made in accordance with GOST 285-69 are a classic version with a main round wire and spikes sticking out. It stretches exclusively in the horizontal plane and can be easily cut with ordinary tools.This view can only be considered as a temporary enclosure.

Tape AKL and ASKL are more reliable and damage resistant options. When tensioned, such fences are also obtained only horizontal, they are often used in everyday life or are installed along the perimeter of roofs, in the upper part of concrete or metal fences.

At facilities requiring an increased level of protection, install spiral or flat barriers.

When using volumetric SBB, the level of protection increases, it turns out to be practically impossible to get out of such a structure when hitting it, which is important for sensitive objects.

When installing Egoza barbed wire, it is very important to follow the manufacturer's installation instructions. Basically 2 methods are used.

1. Installing a wire barrier on an existing fence at its highest point. The attachment of the perimeter protection is carried out using special brackets of the vertical or curved type. In the same way, work is done on the edge of the roof or visor of the building.
2. Solid fence in the form of a flat or volumetric structure. A popular solution to avoid the installation of solid partitions. Installation is carried out on poles with crossing directions horizontally, vertically, diagonally. The support is a metal pipe, concrete products, a bar or a log.

To vertical supports on a wooden base, tape, volumetric and flat protective elements are attached with staples or nails. The concrete poles must already have built-in metal lugs at the correct levels for the correct wire attachment. Such brackets will have to be welded to the metal base.

When working with keys with Egoza wire, certain safety measures must be observed. When biting ASKL and AKL, they can straighten, presenting a certain danger to the installer. You need to think very carefully about the protection measures.
