How to use?
As usual, it is best to download drivers for Pantum printers from the official site. If installed from third party sources, the warranty will automatically void.
It is also desirable to fill the cartridge with original toners or ink. It should be borne in mind that you will have to reset the cartridge. Otherwise, the system will give an error, and at least something will not be able to print.
Experts strongly recommend that you remove any remaining toner or old ink before refueling. It is undesirable to dispose of the collected powder in a standard way. The most correct way would be to find a company that deals with recycling.
Most often, a Wi-Fi connection is practiced with a laptop. Although no one bothers to connect Pantum printers to the computer in the same way.
Usually, use two options - connection in infrastructure mode (via a router) and direct connection.
It should be borne in mind that regardless of this, simultaneous interaction with 2 or more computers (laptops) is impossible.
If possible, it is advisable to use WPS mode. Before that, you must disconnect the network cable from the router. The connection will be established automatically, even if the main traffic is encrypted.
Configuration in Windows is usually done through the standard "Start" menu, or rather through the printers section in the control panel. If the list of wireless models is empty, you will have to manually specify the IP and port for connection. In the "Special" section, set the required parameters.
Important: the drivers will have to be systematically updated. It is advisable to immediately determine whether the Pantum printer will be used by default.
If the computer does not see the connected printer, you need to check all the settings and make sure that the device itself is turned on. If this is not the case and not in the interference with the radio signal, not in the removed cable, it remains to assume serious problems. Real specialists should eliminate them.
Sometimes another problem arises - the Pantum device does not print. In this case, first of all, you should check if the cartridges are intact and refilled. Difficulties are also created by the lack of paper, the wrong size or type of media, the presence of foreign objects. It is also worth checking if there are any kinks in the cables.
As for software failures, the most likely are:
- the disappearance of the driver or conflict with other equipment, programs;
- disabled print service;
- choosing a different printer by default;
- offline printer mode;
- ban on security policy;
- violation of the operating system;
- damage by viruses.
The instructions for Pantum printers are generally clear and predictable. But still it is worth focusing on some of the nuances. The fuser will heat up to a high temperature during printing. You should not touch them at this moment and for some time after the end of printing.
The device can be cleaned, even dry, only in a de-energized state. It is absolutely impossible to disassemble the devices.
You need to contact technical specialists immediately after:
- short circuit;
- ingestion of liquids or corrosive substances;
- falling;
- strong blow;
- collisions with another object;
- a sharp and unexplained decrease in productivity.
It is recommended to ventilate rooms with laser printers as often as possible. It is imperative to take care of the grounding of the Pantum equipment. Switching to intermittent printing after prolonged use is normal.
It is undesirable to place printers near stoves, radiators, ventilation and air conditioning devices. Repair, with the exception of the manipulations directly indicated in the instructions, must be carried out by professionals.
Review overview
Pantum printers are highly regarded by consumers. The devices themselves are quite cheap and look attractive. However, sometimes there are complaints about the high cost of operation. This is largely offset by the ease of use and legibility of prints. Apart from the high cost of toners and paints, there shouldn't be any particular problems.
Students are positive about Pantum printers. They focus on ease of use and decent print quality. They also point out that the devices of the Chinese brand can withstand a significant load, which is beyond the power of even other models of leading brands. Folding is sometimes noted after printing.
