Narrow furniture in the hallway - a solution for small apartments

In small apartments, very little space is allocated for the hallway. The length of such a corridor can be from 2 meters, and the width (over a meter) does not always correspond to the wishes of the owners. In this space, you need to place outerwear, removable shoes, bags, umbrellas, and not only for household members, but also for visitors. Here you need to find a place to sit down to change your shoes, take a look at your appearance in the mirror.

The installation of standard furniture will help to place all the necessary things, but there may not be enough space for free passage inside the room. Under heavy loads, the hinges can sag, and the doors will not close tightly, which looks sloppy, so the design of the wardrobe is the best option.

In the closet for storing outerwear, the rods are installed perpendicularly in 2 or three tiers. The hangers are not located across the cabinet, but along. The lower tier can store children's clothes, the middle tier can be used for older family members, and the upper tier can store seasonal clothes.

In very small hallways, hanging narrow cabinets (depth 20-25 cm) are used. Cabinets are hung at a height of 20-30 cm from the floor. The space under the cabinets remains free. A chest of drawers and a shoe cabinet are also attached to the wall at the same distance from the floor.

The floor space remains completely empty, which makes the room taller and more airy. The nuance of using such cabinets: you cannot store heavy objects in them. Otherwise, the wall cabinet does not differ in its functions from the floor cabinet.
