There are several ways to create a starry sky effect:

• Luminescent paint. This type of decoration is based on the application of various patterns (planets, galaxies, constellations, clouds). In the absence of artistic talent, you can use stencils. The paint will only be visible in the dark. The advantage of this method is the application of drawings for every taste, and the disadvantage is the inability to independently adjust the intensity of the illumination of the structure.

• Starpins glowing pins. For this type of ceiling, it is recommended to use dark, even black, shades of the film coating. The option with the applied drawing of the starry sky is possible. An LED strip is placed on the seamy side of the film, and holes for pins are made on the front side. There are two options for installing a suspended ceiling with a starry sky effect. The first method of placement is performed without piercing the web. In this case, the light falls on the wrong side of the fabric. A less durable cloth should be used.

Installation technique:

• To begin with, a rough ceiling covering is installed with applied drawings or patterns in the form of a galaxy, constellations. This coating already has prepared cutouts to fit the pattern.

• Optical fibers are pulled through the micro-holes. If pulling is performed on one fiber, then the glow will be less bright. To increase the brightness of the light, whole bundles of fiber are used to pull through the holes. After that, the fibers are cut at the ceiling level or with a protrusion of no more than 2 m.
• The final step is fixing the finishing blade. It may differ in color, texture and pattern from the false canvas. Glossy or matte fabrics can be used.

The second method of mounting a stretch ceiling is performed in such a way that the holes are made already in the installed starry sky system. Also, fibers are pulled through the holes and glued from the seamy side of the stretch ceiling canvas. On the outside, the fibers are clipped.

For this mounting variation, it is recommended to use crystal attachments to diffuse light. Such a system requires the use of coarser and denser webs. The crystal is mounted using reinforcing rings. Crystals look great on matte PVC film in black or dark blue.

To create the effect of the starry sky, special projectors are used. The projector consists of a halogen arm and a light filter. This mechanism silently spins at a certain speed, affecting the brightness and color of the glow. Projectors help create a more realistic imitation of the starry sky.

Installation is the fixing of the sheet to the ceiling and its connection to the network. The final step is to insert the LEDs. The only drawback of this decor is that it must be installed by professionals. The cost of such material is quite high, but the result of the design of the ceiling covering will be simply amazing.

Little installation tricks:

• The stars in the sky can have different diameters.Their value directly depends on the thickness of the used fiber (varies from 0.75 to 2 mm). When installed in different places of the coating with different numbers of fibers, you can create a complete illusion of a real starry sky.

It is recommended to place 1-3 points of optical fibers (diameter 2 mm) on 1 m2, 3-4 points of fiber with a diameter of 1 mm, and fill the rest of the space with optical fibers with a diameter of no more than 0.75 mm. It is recommended to distribute from 100 to 150 stars per 1 m2.

• Fiber optics with a diameter greater than 1 mm must be secured with additional fasteners so that its weight does not spoil the structure of the false ceiling.
• When installing optical fibers, it is imperative to ensure that they do not bend. When choosing a suitable material for the ceiling, it is worth considering the fact that the maximum heating temperature of the optical fibers is no more than 70 degrees.

Asterisks on a dark blue background. The classic version of the interior is created by applying stars to a dark blue or black canvas. This design can be performed both on a single-level and on a two-level ceiling covering. Often this option is complemented by a white edging. The base of the structure is created by a glossy finish. This option looks very nice in the pool. In the living rooms, designed in the style of pop art and futurism, this decor will be very appropriate.
