To begin with, you need to decide on the very concept of "stretch ceiling". This design is a large canvas made of PVC film or polyester yarn fabric, which is pulled over the frame.

Two-level suspended structures have a fairly large number of advantages over other types of ceilings:

• First of all, it should be noted that their installation does not require additional preparation of the surface base.
• These systems are fireproof, lightweight and very durable, they are completely non-toxic, since they have no smell at all.
• From a practical point of view, they are incredibly convenient, since various wires for chandeliers and lamps, as well as other communications, can be easily hidden above the structure. Thanks to this advantage, it is possible to cover up sloppy ceiling joints.

• Tensioning systems are not susceptible to mold or mildew, they retain water in the event of a leak and can recover when completely dry.
• With the help of a two-level stretch panel, you can easily divide the space into several zones. Auxiliary details here will be light sources or LED strip.
• Modern manufacturers offer a wide range of colors and textures, as well as many other ways to decorate the bedroom ceiling to make you feel even more comfortable.

However, this type of ceiling also has some features that must be taken into account before choosing them for your home:

• For example, two-level stretch panels have difficulties with installation, since it is very complex.
• The structure itself, despite its strength, can be easily damaged by a sharp object.
• Compared to other options, this one has a high price tag.
• For lighting, you will have to use lamps with reduced heat generation, so as not to damage the surface of the ceiling.

The two-tier tension structure can be classified according to several parameters, which we will discuss below.

There are three types of panels in total: glossy, matte and satin. Each has its own features, characteristic only for him:

• Glossy. This type has another name, which is also perfectly applicable to it - lacquer. For the price, such ceilings are the most expensive. The canvas creates a mirror effect, in which 90% of the light is reflected; therefore, designers do not recommend installing chandeliers with a plate-shaped shade, as it will be reflected by a spot of light that resembles a puddle of water.

This property is especially important for small bedrooms, where the owners will be relieved of some kind of pressure. Thanks to the variety of color palette, you can create a very original and beautiful design that you will not find anywhere else. One of the most interesting examples of a glossy stretch structure is the "starry sky", where the ceiling itself is made in blue tones, and the lighting is created using spotlights or an LED strip.

• Matte. Unlike the glossy type, matte has no reflective properties. In this case, white or gray tones are most often used. Due to its light roughness, this surface gives the impression of a painted ceiling.

• Satin. This type of construction in terms of reflective properties is between the two above. It combines their advantages and practically no disadvantages. The satin ceiling looks much more solid and reflects light softly, leaving no glare on the canvas.

This option has a smooth, silky surface, and perfectly complements the interior of any bedroom. Another advantage of satin in the interior is its full compatibility with both classic and modern designs.

Material for two-level stretch ceilings for a bedroom can be of two types: fabric and film:

• Fabric. Such material is considered to be more durable, since it is made of polyester fabric, which significantly increases its price. To use this type, you will have to lower the ceiling by 1.5 centimeters. Fabrics are available in imitation of a variety of materials such as satin, suede, velvet, etc.

Cloth is less susceptible to heat from lamps than film. It is allowed to paint this design by hand, which looks very nice, or you can create an original print that will give your bedroom an exclusive look. But unfortunately, the choice of colors for the fabric type of stretch ceiling is less, in comparison with the film, which for some may be a disadvantage.

• Film. This type of ceiling structure is more economical and has increased moisture resistance. The surface here can be any, but the installation process here will be much more difficult and will take longer. The foil cloth lowers the main ceiling by 4-5 centimeters, depending on the required space for the wires.

This species has a very wide assortment of colors, among which any customer can easily find an option to taste. There are canvases that have two or more colors, the so-called options with soldering.

When choosing this or that type of material, one should also focus on the area of ​​the room being repaired, since the width of the panels is limited, and if the fabric panels are 5 meters wide, then the film ones are only 2 meters. Therefore, if you are the happy owner of a large bedroom, a fabric ceiling is more suitable for you than a film one.

When creating a ceiling design, you should focus not only on your own taste, but also on some expert advice that will help you make a more successful and correct choice.

Since the purpose of the bedroom is relaxation, not a fun pastime, the color scheme of the ceiling should be chosen based on the effect of each palette on the eyes, mood and general condition:

• For example, all shades of blue provide calmness, relaxation after a hard day, and visual coolness.
• Greenish shades help relieve stress and relieve fatigue, they are also recommended for people with poor eyesight, as they have a beneficial effect on the eyes.
• Yellow is recommended for "owls" who have difficulty getting up in the morning, it provides vigor and a surge of energy.
• You can just make a white ceiling, but give it originality with the help of interesting lamps and multi-colored lamps.

The peculiarity of the two-level ceiling makes it possible to combine different colors, thereby highlighting the zones. For example, the bedside area can be highlighted with a light blue tint, and everything that surrounds it is already blue. For multi-level stretch ceilings, it is recommended to install the following types of light sources:

• Small pendant lights in the form of individual dots on the ceiling.
• LED strips.

It is undesirable to install chandeliers with decorative elements, because of which the lamps will be directed upwards, since they can damage the ceiling when heated. If the lamps near the chandelier are directed horizontally or still upward, the distance from the upper border of the horn or other element to the ceiling is allowed from 11 centimeters, no less.

The number of bulbs depends on the area of ​​the bedroom and the prevailing color scheme. The luminaire body should not overheat too much, especially if it comes into contact with the canvas. To provide additional safety of the ceiling from heating, it is advisable to use LED or energy-saving bulbs. The permissible lamp power in this case is 35-40 watts.

Often, to give the ceiling space originality, additional lighting is installed along the perimeter of the canvas, and its color may differ from the ceiling color scheme. For this, an LED LED strip is taken, which can take any shape and be equipped with small spot lamps.
