How do I connect two JBL speakers?
JBL is a world-renowned manufacturer of high quality acoustics. Among the brand's best-selling products are portable speakers. The dynamics are distinguished from analogs by clear sound and pronounced bass. All music lovers dream about such a gadget, regardless of age. This is because with a JBL speaker any track sounds brighter and more interesting. With them, it is more fun to watch movies on a PC or tablet. The system plays a variety of audio files and comes in a variety of sizes and designs.
Peculiarities
The modern market is constantly replenished with more and more new models, which can be difficult for a beginner to understand. For example, when there are difficulties with connecting speakers to gadgets or synchronizing them with each other. This is done in different ways, but the simplest of them is using Bluetooth.
If you have two JBL units at your disposal, and you want to get deeper sound with increased volume, you can synchronize them. In tandem, portable speakers can rival true professional speakers.
And it will benefit due to its more convenient dimensions. After all, such speakers can be easily transported from place to place.
The connection is carried out according to a simple principle: first, you need to connect the devices to each other, and only then - to a smartphone or computer. This task does not require any special skills or technical knowledge.
To connect two JBL speakers, you must first turn them on... At the same time, they should automatically connect to each other via the built-in Bluetooth module.
Then you can run the program on a PC or smartphone and connect to any of the speakers - this will double the volume and quality.
The essential point when pairing devices is the coincidence of firmware. If they are incompatible, then the connection of two speakers is unlikely to take place. In this case, it is worth looking for and downloading a suitable application in the market of your OS. On many models, the firmware is updated automatically. But sometimes it is worth contacting an authorized brand service with a problem.
The wireless connection method does not work if, for example, we are talking about connecting between Flip 4 and Flip 3... The first gadget supports JBL Connect and connects to many similar Flip 4. The second only connects to Charge 3, Xtreme, Pulse 2 or similar Flip 3 model.
How to pair with each other?
You can try a completely simple way to connect the speakers to each other. On the case of some JBL acoustics models there is a button in the form of an angular eight.
You need to find it on both speakers and turn it on at the same time so that they "see" each other.
When you manage to connect to one of them, the sound will come from the speakers of two devices at the same time.
And also you can synchronize two JBL speakers and connect them to a smartphone as follows:
- turn on both speakers and activate the Bluetooth module on each;
- if you need to combine 2 identical models, a few seconds later they are automatically synchronized with each other (if the models are different, below will be a description of how to proceed in this case);
- turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone and start searching for devices;
- after the device detects the speaker, you need to connect to it, and the sound will be played on both devices at the same time.
JBL acoustics connection via Bluetooth
Similarly, you can connect from two or more speakers TM JBL. But when it comes to different models, they act like this:
- you need to install the JBL Connect program on your smartphone (download in the market);
- connect one of the speakers to a smartphone;
- turn on Bluetooth on all other speakers;
- select the "Party" mode in the application and connect them together;
- after that they are all synchronized with each other.
How to connect to the phone?
This is even easier to do. The connection process is similar to the example with a computer. Speakers are often purchased for use with phones or tablets, as they are easy to carry due to their portability and small size.
Wherein the sound quality of such equipment is noticeably ahead of the standard speakers of ordinary smartphones and most models of portable speakers. Simplicity of connection is also an advantage, since no special wires or download of a suitable application are required.
To pair, you will again need to use the Bluetooth module, which is present on almost every phone, even not the most modern and new one.
First, you need to place both devices side by side.
Then activate Bluetooth on each - this button is easily recognizable by a specific icon. To understand whether the function has turned on, you must press the button until the indication signal appears. Usually it means a blinking red or green color. If everything worked out, you have to search for devices on your phone. When the name of the column appears, you need to click on it.
Wire connection
To connect two speakers with one phone, you can use a wired connection. This will require:
- any phone with a 3.5 mm Jack for connecting with headphones (speakers);
- speakers in the amount of two pieces with 3.5 mm Jack;
- a pair of AUX cables (3.5 mm male and female);
- adapter-splitter for two AUX connectors (3.5 mm "male" with "mother").
Let's take a look at how to make a wired connection.
First you need to connect the splitter adapter to the jack on your phone, and the AUX cables to the jacks on the speakers. Then connect the other ends of the AUX cable to the splitter adapter. Now you can turn on the track. You should be aware that the speakers will reproduce stereo sound, that is, one is the left channel, the other is the right. Do not spread them far apart from each other.
This method is universal and works with almost all phones and acoustics models. There is no lag or other audio problems.
The disadvantages are the need to purchase an adapter, a tangible separation by channels, which makes listening to music in different rooms impossible... The wired communication connection does not allow the speakers to be spaced far apart.
The connection will not work if the phone has a USB Type-C connector and a Type-C adapter - 3.5 mm instead of the AUX connector.
PC connection
JBL speakers are compact, easy to use and wireless. Nowadays, the popularity of wireless accessories is only growing, which is quite natural. Independence from cables and power supply allows the owner of the gadget to always remain mobile and avoid problems associated with storage, damage, transportation or loss of wires.
Important conditions when connecting a portable JBL speaker to a computer are its operation under Windows OS and the presence of a built-in Bluetooth program. Most modern models have this application, so problems with finding are not expected. But when Bluetooth is not found, you will have to download additional drivers for your PC model on the manufacturer's official website.
If the PC detects a speaker via Bluetooth, but no sound is played, you can try connecting the JBL to your computer, then go into the Bluetooth manager and click the "Property" of the device, and then click on the "Services" tab - and put a checkmark everywhere.
If the computer or laptop does not find the speaker to be connected, you will have to go to the settings on it. This is done according to the instructions. It differs for different computers depending on the device model. If necessary, you can quickly find it on the Internet, and it is also possible to ask a question about the problem on the manufacturer's website.
Another problem is audio interruptions when connecting via Bluetooth. This could be due to incompatible Bluetooth protocols or settings on the PC to which you are connecting.
If the speaker has stopped connecting with different devices, it would be wise to contact the service.
We offer instructions for connecting the speaker to a personal computer.
First, the speakers are turned on and brought as close to the PC as possible to make it easier to establish the connection. Then you need to open on the Bluetooth device and click on the button with the corresponding icon on the column.
Then you should select the "Search" option ("Add device"). After that, a laptop or stationary PC will be able to "catch" the signal from the JBL acoustics. In this regard, the name of the connected model can be read on the screen.
The next step is to establish a connection. To do this, press the "Pairing" button.
At this point, the connection is complete. It remains to check the quality of the devices and you can listen to the files you want with pleasure and enjoy the perfect branded sound from the speakers.
