An electric heated towel rail should be installed in accordance with paragraph 3.05.06 of the current SNiP. However, to a greater extent, this section concerns, first of all, the installation of outlets. Its height must be at least 50 cm from the floor.

First of all, SNiP is designed for the safe operation of the coil, which is why it is important to hang it on the wall in accordance with the approved rules... Although in some cases it is allowed to make an exception and place a heated towel rail only taking into account comfortable use.

Unfortunately, it is not always possible to adhere to the SNiP standards. Sometimes the area of ​​the bathroom is so small that it seems that it will not be possible to place additional equipment in it. However, if you approach it wisely, you will be able to ensure the safe operation of the heating device.

• The minimum coil mounting height is 95 cm... If the distance is less than this indicator, installation is strictly prohibited. The maximum height of the attachment from the floor is 170 cm. However, using a heated towel rail installed at this height is inconvenient.

• M-shaped coil must be installed at a height of at least 90 cm.
• U-shaped coil installed at a minimum height of 110 cm.

As for the placement of the coil next to other plumbing fixtures, then, for example, the "towel" should be located 60–65 cm from the radiator. The ideal distance from the wall should be 5–5.5 cm, although in a small bathroom this figure can be reduced to 3.5–4 cm.
