This is not just a seal, but a part with which you can perform a high-quality tight joint of 2 pipes. This fitting can be used when installed on metal, reinforced plastic or propylene pipes.

American includes a connecting fitting, a union nut and an oil seal (polyurethane, paronite or rubber gasket). In fact, this is a clutch with a collar and a nut. Thanks to this design, you can quickly connect the pipes by rotating the nut with the valve, and, if necessary, dismantle the fitting.

The adapter is designed for the temperature of the liquid in the heating system or in the hot water supply by 120 degrees. Depending on the type, fittings can withstand different pressures: the limit values ​​are indicated by the manufacturer on the packaging for the product. Plastic is fragile, so it will not be able to ensure the reliability of the connection of pipes and plumbing equipment. Plastic is used in tandem with metal threaded inserts, which are more durable.

Connecting a heated towel rail using fittings with dimensions of 3.4, 3.2, 1 (d = 32 mm) inches and other dimensions is carried out using the same technology. To complete the work you need:

• cut threads at the ends of the pipes (at least 7 turns);
• choose a fitting of the right size;
• wrap the connection point on the pipe with FUM tape, screw on the fitting with an external thread;
• put the union nut on the American with a side and screw it on until the optimum pressure of the seal is achieved.

During installation work, you cannot use a gas wrench; for these purposes, an adjustable wrench is considered more suitable.
