Any amateur gardener who has a large vegetable garden at some point begins to be concerned about the question of a high-quality and simple option for watering fruit and vegetable crops. It is often inconvenient and problematic to walk around the garden with a small garden watering can every time. In addition, this process can take a long time, and it is not always possible to achieve an effective result.

For maximum harvest results, saving effort, time and money, the best option would be to buy drip irrigation systems. At the moment, the market offers a huge variety of different proposals for automatic watering of the garden, but the most interesting option, distinguished by ease of use, quick installation, durability, simplicity of design and not worth any "space" money, was the drip irrigation system "Zhuk".

Advantages and disadvantages

Drip irrigation "Zhuk" is easy to install and water supply. The system works independently, freeing the grower from wasting energy on watering and reducing water consumption. Buying an automatic timer in an extended kit will save you from the constant long drive to a suburban area for watering plants. The prices set by the manufacturer, in comparison with imported counterparts, are ready to pleasantly surprise the buyer. The company offers the possibility of separately purchasing additional elements for new plants and water tanks.

To completely eliminate possible leaks during autowatering, you should additionally seal the adjacent joint between the barrel and the connecting fitting with silicone grease. The taps that are used in the kit have a small swing arm, which complicates the process of adjusting the water supply.

For convenience, a new slewing crane can be purchased separately.

Description of the types of systems and equipment

The Zhuk drip irrigation system is manufactured and supplied by a Russian manufacturer with a registered trademark and its own website with technical service. The automatic watering system is represented by a wide offer from the manufacturer for the purchase of all kinds of accessories. It is possible to use the system in several convenient ways that are suitable for any site and area.

The manufacturer has provided for different possibilities of water supply: through the main main hose from a regular water supply system and a barrel. If there is no water supply to the garden area, you can use the water supply directly from a container filled with rainwater, as well as water from a well or a local water pump.

The automatic beetle drip irrigation system has two different types with the same components for a certain number of irrigated plants. It is possible to perform a system for 20, 30, 60 plants for any garden bed. Each kit contains all the necessary accessories that are ready for a complete installation out of the box. The standard kit has a main hose 18 meters long for connecting water from a barrel or tap to the required bed.

The large length and execution of the hose in black color allows you to heat cold water from the water intake.

For an individual supply of water to each plant, the kit has all the necessary fittings and adapters. Watering itself is carried out due to a special dropper-dispenser immersed in the ground to a depth of 10 centimeters, which ensures uniform irrigation from the first to the last plant. A set with an emitter tape allows you to organize dosed watering of the root zone of plants, requiring "warm" watering (tomato, cucumber, pepper, eggplant).

For ease of use, the kit has special clamping devices, making it possible to position the hoses in the desired position and make them more inconspicuous and neat. For some configurations, a special timer is provided that allows you to set specific hours of automatic watering. The timer is equipped with an automatic trigger, consumes energy from batteries, which will last for the whole season, with precise minute adjustment of the duration and frequency of watering. The timer is waterproof and is not afraid of rain and accidental ingress of liquid.

To use the Zhuk drip irrigation system from the barrel, the manufacturer prudently added to the kit a mechanical tap for taking water from the tank to the plants, as well as tees and a special transparent tube installed parallel to the barrel to measure the water level. The set for drip irrigation from the water supply includes a special adapter that allows you to easily connect the main main hose to the tap of the general garden outdoor water supply system.

Additionally, each kit is equipped with a water pre-filter that collects large debris to avoid clogging of the drip lines. Beetle drip irrigation kits are very common; there is a possibility of additional purchase of separate components for an additional plant or reservoir.

For greenhouses

In large greenhouses with the ability to artificially maintain lighting and temperature, drip irrigation provides full control over the ripening conditions of vegetable crops. Very often you can find greenhouses with additional lighting for the autumn-spring period in low light conditions. There are special heat guns to control the required temperature.

Greenhouse drip irrigation "Zhuk" will perfectly complement the technological set of useful equipment in the greenhouse, which will avoid excessive soil wetting, which can destroy special platforms for the beds. Drip irrigation will not wash the soil and prevent the formation of depressions in the soil from the pressure of water from a hose or watering can.

For greenhouses

The Zhuk drip irrigation system is perfect for mobile greenhouses, providing spot irrigation to hard-to-reach plants. There is little space in a typical greenhouse. Drip irrigation will allow you to maintain the usual microclimate in the greenhouse and protect the plants from possible burns on the leaves from water during careless watering.

The deep-water root irrigation system will allow minimal evaporation of moisture on the walls of the greenhouse, eliminating the need for constant ventilation of the greenhouse, which in turn will save from the appearance of small volatile pests on vegetables.

Expansion kits

The Zhuk drip irrigation system is interchangeable and supplemented. Each of its elements is freely available and can be replaced in case of failure, saving the owner from buying a new kit for the sake of one inexpensive part.

Components are widespread and have standard dimensions, which can be replaced with the closest analogues from other manufacturers in the absence of the necessary part.

After purchase and successful use, the small basic kit can be optionally supplemented with other components from the manufacturer. You can easily, by purchasing a standard set for drip irrigation from a water supply system for 20 plants, without buying a new one, pick up additional watering for another 20 or 22 plants from a new barrel with a timer. Or install an additional water supply from the column, separately purchasing several inexpensive adapters and pipes. The system is quite simple and is limited only by the user's imagination and the volume of the useful area of the garden.

Assembly instructions

To install drip irrigation, which allows the gardener not to appear in the garden for a long time, it will take a little time and effort. You can assemble the system without special skills and equipment. All components are present in the box, you only need to purchase a barrel or other container for storing water separately.

The principle of installing both options for supplying water from a barrel or from a water supply system is not fundamentally different. At first glance, the amount of detail causes some alarm, but you should not prematurely fall into a stupor and bewilderment. Not everything is as complicated as it might seem at first.

Laying the main hose

Installation of any type of Zhuk drip irrigation systems begins with the laying of main hoses. If there are two or more beds, the main hose must be cut off in equal parts of the bed length. The hose can be easily cut with scissors or a simple knife.

The end of each main hose must be bent and secured with a special clamp, which can be found in the purchased kit or purchased separately. The resulting main hose should be carefully laid out between the plants, fixing with clamps at an equal distance from each other.

Assembly of supply drip systems

The kit includes droppers, which ultimately will supply water to the plants. It is necessary to gently break each dropper, remove from the common cassette and connect to the narrower delivery hose, the set of which can be found in the package. The end of the hose should be lowered into warm water for a few seconds for softening and greater ease of installation.

The resulting connections must be connected in pairs to each other using a small tee fitting. The number of connections made should be equal to the number of plants. After connecting all the elements, it is necessary to go to the garden for future integration into the main hose.

Installation of underwater drip systems to the main hose

In the previously unfolded and fixed main hose, opposite each pair of plants, it is necessary to make holes with a special awl, which is included in the kit. To obtain the most accurate hole, you should, firmly fixing the hose with your hand and by slight pressure with swinging, pierce the main hose.

After making holes in each resulting hole, you need to insert a "tee" type fitting, which was previously installed on the previously brought connected supply hoses. The droppers connected to the supply hoses must be immersed in the ground close to the plants, right under the spine.

Preparing the mounted drip system for external water supply

On the second end of the main hose, a special corner of the "G" shape is put on for further connection to the water supply system. A small piece of 10 centimeters of the cut-off main hose is put on the free end of the corner and then the tap is connected to adjust the water flow to the garden bed.

An additional piece of the main hose is connected to the installed faucet to the water supply from a barrel or water supply system or to another part of a separately irrigated bed, which will also be supplied to the water source through a hole with a tee fitting.

Installation of the intake barrel

It is time to prepare the supply of the drip irrigation system. To irrigate the beds from the barrel, drill the required hole. Before reaching the bottom of the barrel by 5-6 centimeters, a through hole with a diameter of 22 mm is made and a fitting with a gasket is inserted. The thread is screwed on the outside and tightened tightly. The barrel is installed at a height of 50 to 200 centimeters on the sunny part of the area for heating water. Further, a special fitting of the "tee" type is connected with a small piece of the main hose, to which a transparent tube is connected to display the water level in the barrel.

Assembling the water line to the garden

A faucet is connected to the free hole on the fitting through a small piece of the main hose. Next, a filter is installed, which indicates the correct direction for installation. The filter is attached to the tap with a piece of the main hose.

Further, the installation proceeds as shown in the diagram on the box from the kit. O-ring, adapter and timer with an arrow to set the correct direction of water flow. After installing the timer, it remains to stretch the trunk cable to the garden bed and connect it to the already prepared "tee" type fitting.

Installation completed. It remains only to fill the barrel and adjust the water supply to the garden bed.
