A duvet cover is a thing that protects the duvet from pollution and unpleasant odors from the environment, as well as from contact with the bodies of people sleeping under it. • the length is measured in the vertical direction from the upper edge of the web to the lower, strictly perpendicular;
• the width is determined by spreading the corresponding side of the blanket and the centimeter horizontally along a straight line, from the left edge to the right.

The blanket does not always visually correspond to the rectangle. For example, the size 210x220 looks like a square. But its width and length are not the same. Therefore, no matter how square the product may seem, measure it according to the rules.

Knowing the format of your sleeping product, it will not be difficult to choose a cover for it. When choosing a duvet cover, keep in mind that its dimensions must strictly correspond to the duvet covers. The discrepancy of the dimension no more than 5 cm is allowed, but it is better towards the larger size of the duvet cover.

For example, after measuring the blanket, the following figures were obtained: 200x230 cm. In this case, the duvet cover must correspond to these figures. Or, the maximum that you can afford is 205x235. If the cover is larger than the blanket itself, then it will constantly stray one way or the other. If less - the canvas will go in folds, it will bend. All of these will affect the quality of your sleep.

It is worth paying attention to one more point: where is the slot in the duvet cover. Products with holes in the middle are unlikely to be found in Euro linen. There are two options left.

• Small hole on the side. It is extremely inconvenient to thread a blanket into it.
• A large slit with a zipper or buttons, located on one side in width, is ideal for easy putting on the cover.

Of particular importance when choosing a duvet cover is the fabric from which it is made. If synthetic fabric is chosen, it is difficult to predict how they will behave after washing. Perhaps they will shrink, and then it will be difficult to fit the blanket into the cover.

It is better to give preference to natural cotton fabrics. Their variety is very great. Calico, chintz, cambric are the most common representatives of this group. But the highest quality are satin and percale.

Satin is a very beautiful fabric. It has a natural luster reminiscent of silk. This fabric is very easy to use. It practically does not wrinkle, does not roll and retains heat well. Differs in high wear resistance and affordable price. It does not shrink after washing, so the buyer does not have to worry about the size of the product.

Percale belongs to the elite, expensive canvases. But it is perfect for bedding. The material is soft and pleasant to the touch, breathable well. Quite sturdy and durable. But it is worth considering the fact that its surface wrinkles slightly over time due to the high density of the threads. This leads to shrinkage of the matter by about 2%.

Suitable fabrics for bedding are silk and linen. They also do not lose their presentation for a long time and do not deform.
