Rope swing: varieties and manufacturing technology

Rest in the country is a welcome time for most city dwellers. Fresh air, home-grown vegetables and fruits, quiet family evenings attract mostly adults and the elderly. Young children often do not know what to do without the usual Internet and sports clubs.

All rope swings have one principle of operation - this is movement due to the rhythmic contractions of the human body. And according to the name, their appearance consists of the ropes themselves, suspended from a frame or a tree branch, to which the seat is attached. The types of such simple entertainment often differ only in the form and material of this very seat.

The simplest version of a rope swing is an ordinary board familiar to everyone from childhood. It can be part of a pallet left over from the construction of a house, part of an old shop, or even consist of several thin logs fastened together. The seat can be not only wooden, but also metal and even dense plastic.

A more sophisticated seat option for a rope swing is a chair or bench with a back. Sitting on such a structure is much more comfortable than sitting on a bench. For the little ones, you can equip additional handles or mounts. Such swings are less often made of metal, most often they are plastic or wooden.

One of the unusual options for a rope swing is a wide surface with or without bumpers, on which the child will fit entirely. This can be a real crib with a mattress and blanket, suspended from thick ropes or even metal chains, or a small cradle for a toddler, in which he can be rocked outside for an afternoon nap in warm weather.

Such a swing is not suspended on two or four, but on one very strong rope. In shape, they resemble an onion or a drop, in one of the sides of which a hole is cut for a child. Inside, such a cocoon can be lined with soft blankets or pillows. In this closed space, the child will feel as protected as possible, as if it were a separate house or tent.

In addition to the cocoon, swings made from a conventional plastic or metal hoop can also be wicker. A thick rope inside it weaves a pattern that looks like a cobweb. To prevent the ropes from digging into the delicate child's skin, the pattern should be very dense, or a small blanket should be draped over.

In addition to material and shape, a hanging swing can be distinguished by its location.They can be located both inside and outside the room. In addition, they can be placed on a balcony or open veranda.

If a children's swing is installed in the garden or summer cottage, then, most likely, they will be exactly rope. This is because this design has many advantages.

• Versatility. Such an attraction does not take up much space and can be hung both in the courtyard or garden, and on a small veranda or even inside the room.
• Durability. The design is free from complicated fixings and suspensions, so it will last for a long time. The main thing is to choose high quality ropes in order to hang the seat.
• Profitability. Unlike massive structures with a frame, such swings are much cheaper, and most often they are made free of charge from scrap materials.
• Environmental friendliness. Products made of wood and ropes are natural and will not harm the baby. The main thing is that the boards are well cleaned and sanded.
• Design. Both purchased and do-it-yourself rope swings can be painted in various colors, decorated with ribbons or pillows, and upholstered with fabric. Such decor looks especially good, which is suitable for the decoration of the house itself or the entire plot.

The most original and completely uncomplicated solution for a rope swing to the country house will be a swing from a metal gymnastic hoop. To do this, you need to tie two ropes on both sides of the circle, linking them together in the center. Add two more loops on the other sides of the hoop, the ropes should be pulled as tight as there is enough force to tighten them. Such manipulations continue until 16 to 20 rope radii are obtained, radiating out from the center. After that, in the direction from the center to the edge, a twisting rope is launched in a circle.

The braid can be not only circular - it can be weaving, similar to a hammock net, a cobweb or other options. It is quite simple to tie such a swing to a support. It is enough to mentally build an isosceles square inside the hoop and tie long strong ropes to the rim at its corners. From above, such ropes are tied to a thick branch of a tree, the crossbar of the roof of a shed or gazebo.

In the event that there is no tree with such a branch on the site, you can make it yourself. To do this, you need to choose a long, strong beam or log and carefully fix them in the fork of an apple, birch or other tall tree growing near the house. Such a swing will interest not only a child, but also an adult, so it is better to immediately choose a hoop with a larger diameter. If you cover the rope weaving with a soft blanket and take your favorite drink or an interesting book with you, then on such a swing you can not just swing, but spend the whole day in pleasant seclusion.
