How to make a sawmill from a chainsaw with your own hands?

• You need to start with assembling the base, for which pipes and corners are used. In this case, you should not immediately proceed with the installation. First, you need to add all the elements and check how smooth the connections turned out using the level. After that, you can connect the metal parts to each other by welding.

• At the next stage, the resulting rectangular base should be reinforced with several ties... They can be metal pipes. It is advisable to fasten the ties at the same distance from each other. In this case, bolts can be used for fastening.

• A thinner metal profile should be welded on top of the base of the sawmill structure... This is necessary so that the logs do not fall off the equipment when cutting. Of course, such a frame can be assembled even faster and easier. In this case, you don't even need a welding machine. The only condition for a wooden sawmill is that it is in a reliable shelter from rain, snow, etc.

Its fixation is made on the saw plate, at the point where the chain is attached. • To cut large diameter logs, you will need a saw with more power and a longer bar. It is advisable to think in advance how massive trees will be loaded onto the device. Ideal if a forklift is to be used. You can also create a special mechanism or use jacks.

• An important point is fixing the log. During the sawing process, it should not rotate so that the resulting boards are even along the entire length. The guides for the chainsaw and the trolley should not "play" either. This is why it is recommended to strengthen them.
