The color palette that can be collected from the species and varieties of this flower is striking in its diversity and breadth of the spectrum. It features colors ranging from snow white and pale pink to deep black and rich burgundy. Yellow petunias can be distinguished into a separate group. The palette of this color consists of almost all variations and shades of all kinds in nature.
Description
Petunia is an annual or biennial herb, reaching a height of 30–45 cm. The diameter of flowers can vary from 1.5 to 10 cm. The flowering period is very long - from the end of May to the first frost, for which gardeners appreciate it so much. By the type of stem, petunias are divided into bush, cascading and ampelous; by flower size - into large-flowered and small-flowered. Also, breeders have bred terry varieties that differ from the usual ones in a large number of petals.
Fuzebls lime coral
Photophilous, drought-resistant variety, undemanding to the substrate. Seedlings are planted in open ground not earlier than mid-May, when there is no threat of night frosts. Ampel-type plants reach a height of 25–30 cm, flower sizes - 8–10 cm. During flowering, a lush “cap” is formed, under which greenery is almost invisible. Ideal for balconies, planters and hanging planters.
"Sophistry lime bicolor"
Large-flowered variety (each flower reaches 10 cm in diameter). It features rich, pure colors that can change their shade depending on weather conditions and the age of the plant. The stem is highly branched and forms a round shrub about 30 cm in diameter.
Dolce Limoncello
This hybrid is characterized by unusually gentle pastel colors, flowing from saturated at the center to light and transparent at the edges. Because of this, the petals appear airy and shine in the sun. The stems form small bushes 20–30 cm high. The diameter of the flowers is 7–8 cm. Hybrids are unpretentious in care and sometimes continue to bloom until mid-October.
Celebrity Yellow
This variety has a very interesting color - bright veins stand out against a light background, which form a frequent mesh and color the base of the funnel. Plants are small - no more than 15 cm in height, flowers 6-7 cm in diameter. It blooms very profusely, perfect for planting in city parks, gardens, summer cottages.
It tolerates small frosts well.
Blanket yellow
As the name implies, this variety of petunia blooms with a “blanket”. It grows very quickly. The stems are of a cascade type, they rise no more than 20 cm in height, the whips hang down more than 1 meter, the bush spreads out up to 2 meters in diameter. This variety is ideal for growing in large hanging planters, for decorating city flower beds and balconies.
Surprise
The flowers of this petunia are almost completely white with light yellow funnel bases and yellow veins. They go well with plants of other tones, while not being lost against their background, but well complement the compositions.
Fanfare deep yellow
The record holder among varieties of petunias in size and flowers (up to 10–12 cm in diameter) and their number per plant. The stem is semi-ample, forms a dense creeping pillow or hanging lashes with a large number of leaves. It reaches a height of 25–30 cm, and the length of the lashes is up to 80–100 cm.
"Mirage"
Large-flowered hybrid variety, with clean, rich tones. Seedlings of this variety are distinguished by vigorous growth, good tolerance to adverse weather conditions and a very long flowering period. Plants are quite tall - up to 40 cm, very light-loving. Loves light, loose soils, responds gratefully to timely fertilizing with mineral fertilizers.
