Ripening terms
The species is mid-season in terms of ripening: from the appearance of the first shoots to harvesting, 100-105 days pass, until the ripening of the removed fruits - 120-125. In the greenhouse, the first crop is harvested from the end of June, and in the garden - at the beginning of August.
Yield
From 1 sq. m under the film, an average of about 5 kg is removed, and on the beds - up to 4.
Growing regions
The culture is suitable for planting in greenhouses throughout Russia. In warm southern regions, it can be planted without shelter.
Landing scheme
Place 8 bushes per 1 sq. m in open ground, and no more than 6 - in a greenhouse, with an interval of 50x20 cm or 30x20 cm.
To get a large and tasty harvest of pepper, you need to take care of the seedlings in advance. When growing pepper seedlings, you need to correctly determine the sowing time, pre-sowing seed treatment, prepare the necessary container and soil.
Growing and care
Seeds for seedlings are planted 65-70 days before transferring to a permanent place, around the beginning of March. They are planted in fertile soil to a depth of 2-3 cm, preferably in separate containers. For seed germination, a temperature of +26 degrees is required, the earth is moistened quite a bit and covered with a film. The containers must be ventilated before germination. If the seedlings are planted in a common container, the pick is carried out when 2-3 true leaves appear. After transplanting, the bushes slow down development and may even stop growing. The optimum temperature for keeping seedlings is + 22 ... 25 degrees, but not lower than +17. The soil is watered as it dries, it should always be slightly moist.
Seedlings are planted in a greenhouse or under a film at the end of April or at the beginning of May, on an open bed at the beginning of June. They roll over bushes with a lump of earth so as not to damage the root system. 24 hours before planting, the roots are shed with a solution of the drug "Epin".
Water the peppers 2-3 times a week with warm water, on hot sunny days only early in the morning or late in the evening. The plant requires moist soil, the recommended air humidity is at least 35%. The optimum temperature regime is + 22 ... 27 degrees.
Bushes do not require tying or shaping, but it is recommended to remove all leaves before the first fork. During the period of bud formation, the variety needs nitrogen-phosphorus fertilizing. During the fruiting period, you can make top dressing every 2 weeks, alternating chicken droppings, superphosphate, diammofoska.
To harvest a tasty and rich harvest of pepper, you need to comply with all the conditions of agricultural technology, and proper care begins with planting plants. Before planting pepper in open ground, it should be prepared. It is also important to take care of the seedlings and planting space in advance.
Soil requirements
The culture is suitable for loose loamy or sandy loam soil, black soil.
For good growth of pepper bushes and active fruiting, you need to regularly apply mineral and organic fertilizing to the soil. It is necessary not only to choose the right formulations, but also to use them at the right stage in the development of culture. The frequency of top dressing is always individual. It depends directly on the composition of the land on your site. The poorer the soil composition, the more often you will need to feed the pepper.
Required climatic conditions
The species is considered resistant to adverse weather conditions. Ovaries are formed even in cold spring.
Disease and pest resistance
The variety is moderately resistant to verticillary wilt. May be affected by phytoplasmosis. For the prevention of fungal diseases from the moment of emergence of sprouts, it is recommended to water young plants 2 times a week with the preparation "Fitosporin". Before planting seedlings with the same remedy, it is recommended to process the beds.
Insects attack: aphids, spider mites, slugs, Colorado potato beetle. From folk remedies, it is recommended to pour 1 tsp into small holes around the bush. birch tar, from traditional means it is better to use biological insecticides.
Pepper is one of the most common vegetables in home gardens. This culture is quite stable and unpretentious. However, under certain conditions, this plant can suffer from infections and harmful insects. Before treating peppers for diseases or pests, you need to find out the cause of the problem, otherwise the treatment may be ineffective.
