All about Odensjo pelargoniums
Pelargonium is one of the most common indoor geraniums. It has medicinal properties and repels many harmful insects. If it is adjacent to other plants on the windowsill, then this guarantees the absence of aphids. One of the types of domestic geranium is the Odensjo Suzie Wong pelargonium.
Characteristic
It is a bush with dark green foliage, with a dark contrasting area and crimson flowers with dark spots. The bush is compact, well-formed.
Varieties and their description
Odensjo Suzie Wong is represented by several varieties.
- "Symphony". Flowers of a deep pink hue, collected in inflorescences. The leaves are light green. Unpretentious to the surrounding conditions, blooms well and lends itself to molding.
Not afraid of cold weather.
- Black Mamba. It is a dwarf plant with pink double inflorescences. The leaves are brown with a thin greenish border.
- Bernadette. It is a dwarf culture with double white-pink inflorescences. They become brighter in sunlight. It blooms the fastest in the spring.
- Rodluvan. Compact bushes with double flowers of a bright red hue, well formed. The inflorescences of Rodluvan are much larger in comparison with other species.
- Ice Frozen Campari. It is a semi-double pelargonium. Inflorescences are white with red and pink blotches, yellow leaves. The bushes are quite miniature, they are fluffy.
- Made in Sweden. It is represented by bushes with dark leaves. The flowers are small, resembling carnations in appearance.
- Ljus Och Varme. Refers to terry pelargoniums. Inflorescences are pinkish-white caps. But these two shades don't mix.
- Stilla Flirt. It is represented by semi-double inflorescences of a pale pink shade with a yellow center. Leaves are rich green with a dark zone. The combination of dark foliage and delicate flowers looks very beautiful. A compact bush that branches well.
- Sofie Arden. This is a look with double pink flowers. The inflorescences are dense, like umbrellas. Green leaves with a bright area.
- Madame Bovary. It is a miniature bushes with bright red inflorescences. Growth slows down after pruning.
- Omma Ogonkast (translated as "gentle look"). It has beautiful pale pink flowers. The main feature is that it dries and sheds the leaves in the heat.
- Tintomara. Refers to semi-double. Leaves are yellow with a large brown area. Flowers of pink shades with raspberry splashes.
- Eloise. Dwarf plant, compact. The leaves are small, have a well-marked dark zone. The flowers are muted crimson.
- Kate. It is a species that is undemanding to growing conditions. The variety has bright shades of flowers, blooms profusely. Young inflorescences are distinguished by their special splendor and beauty.
- Ogonocast. It is a miniature bushes with bright green foliage and pink-white flowers.
- Tango. It is a rather dense bush with green leaves. The flowers are semi-double, rather large, pink-lilac shades interspersed with crimson.
- Sound of Silence. It is represented by white flowers with a greenish tint. Bushes are miniature, do not require formation.
- Florentina. This is a dwarf pelargonium, characterized by decorative leaves of a yellow-green color range with a weakly pronounced dark zone. The flowers are white, with a thin pink border, veins and blotches.
- Vanessa. A miniature bush with double inflorescences of bright pink colors.
- Vivaldi. It has compact inflorescences of a pale pink shade with a bright crimson border around the edges.
Care
Even an inexperienced florist will be able to care for pelargonium. This is due to the fact that this culture is absolutely unpretentious and does not require any special conditions of detention. The most optimal temperature for a flower is the usual room temperature.
In winter, this indicator should be within + 10-15 degrees, so the culture should be placed in a cool room. Pelargonium is very fond of sunlight, its lack can adversely affect the development of the plant.
The peony of this species does not need moisture, so there is no need to spray the flower. Periodically, the culture needs to be watered well, but in no case should the liquid stagnate. Therefore, you should take care of drainage.
Pelargonium can be fertilized with standard mineral fertilizers for indoor plants, it does not tolerate organic matter.
