Any gardener strives to get the highest possible yield. This is a kind of sports passion, provoking the search for suitable "tools". New varieties, good seed material contribute to the achievement of the set goals. Hybrid variety Lyutoyar F1 (synonym for Lyutoyar) is famous for its high yield, excellent taste, good transportability and marketability.
Breeding history
Lutoyar is the result of a selection of Turkish scientists, it was approved for use in 2016.
Description of the variety
The hybrid parthenocarpic variety was created for cultivation in the conditions of film and glazed greenhouses, open ground and greenhouses. Lyutoyar grows well and bears fruit throughout our country, even in northern conditions, due to its ability to develop in closed spaces. Its significant advantage is that it is suitable for cultivation not only in private plots, but also on an industrial scale due to its high yield and excellent transportability. Small fruits have good taste and optimal size for whole-fruit canning. In addition, they are delicious fresh, ideal for slicing and salads.
Hybrid advantages:
yield;
unpretentiousness;
strong immunity;
high keeping quality, marketability;
good transportability.
The disadvantage is the factor that Lyutoyar belongs to the first generation hybrids, which means the complete inability of the seed to transmit parental qualities. In addition, the cucumber, like any other varieties, is not able to independently resist such pests as aphids, whiteflies, spider mites, which are rampant in greenhouse conditions.
Characteristics of the appearance of plants and zelents
The indeterminate type of growth has no restrictions on development, so the hybrid needs trellis. The branching of shoots is average, pinching helps to limit their number. The foliage of the traditional five-bladed type with a shallow dissection is painted in bright dark green tones. The culture has a predominantly female flowering, in each bosom 2 female flowers of yellow color are formed. The length of the zelents is 12 cm, the average weight is 100 g. Cylindrical large-tuberous fruits of green color with short stripes are covered with a loose skin. Cucumbers are not prone to yellowing.
Purpose and taste of fruits
Lyutoyar fruits are intended for summer and winter salads, fresh consumption and canning. The dense juicy pulp has a mild rich aroma and a classic sweetish taste without any signs of bitterness.
Maturation
The hybrid belongs to the early maturing category and is able to please the owners of garden plots with the first cucumbers within 40 days after the first shoots under ideal conditions. Temperature changes, rains and cold snaps can slightly shift these dates, but in any case, stable fruiting begins by the end of the second month.
Yield
The declared yield is the average figure of 12.8 kg from one bush, however, with good care and compliance with agrotechnical requirements, the indicators increase significantly.
Growing regions
Lyutoyar is grown in the northern, North-West, Central, Volgo-Vyatka, North Caucasian, Middle Volga, Nizhnevolzhsky, Ural, West Siberian, East Siberian and Far Eastern regions, as well as in the Central Black Earth Region.
Landing scheme
The optimal distance between the roots is 54-60 cm, 2-3 plants are planted per square meter.
Growing and care
In the southern regions of the country, the hybrid grows well in the open field, in the northern regions, cultivation in greenhouses and greenhouses is preferable. Despite the fact that Lyutoyar bears fruit well when grown in a horizontal position, the vertical method is the best solution. It saves space, provides excellent ventilation of plants and comfort in processing. Since the main load of fruits falls on the central shoot, formation and pinching make it possible to provide adequate nutrition for this particular part of the stem. For this, the lower part is blinded to a height of 40-50 cm and the stepsons are pinched.
Abundant watering should only be done with warm water. The soil should be constantly moist, but without the formation of stagnant swampy puddles. Ideally, this is drip irrigation. Weeding and loosening the soil is required, but loosening itself can be replaced by mulching. This technique not only prevents the formation of an earthen crust, but also prevents moisture evaporation. Root and foliar feeding should not be neglected throughout the growing season.
If cucumbers are grown in seedlings, then the plants are planted in a permanent place after the appearance of 2-3 true leaves. It should be borne in mind that cucumbers do not tolerate transplanting well, therefore, growing seedlings is permissible only with a closed root system. In the non-seedling method, crops can be covered with foil to create a greenhouse effect and accelerate germination.
Top dressing is carried out in calm, calm and cloudy weather. One of the effective formulations is a solution of ammonium and potassium nitrate, as well as double superphosphate at the rate of 5 grams of each ingredient per 10 liters of water. It is very important to remember that over-fertilization has a negative effect on plant development. The use of greenhouses is possible only at the initial stage. Then the grown shoots will need free space and high-quality ventilation.
Soil requirements
For optimal cultural development, it is required to find a place with good access to sunlight. If the process takes place in greenhouses, then you should take care of the cleanliness and transparency of the coating or additional lighting. Cucumbers do not tolerate acidic and alkaline soils, as well as heavy soils with poor air permeability. In the first case, deoxidation will need to be carried out using dolomite flour, lime or chalk. The soil should have a balanced composition - cucumbers respond positively to the introduction of organic matter and mineral fertilizers.
In order to collect strong, tasty and beautiful cucumbers on your site, you need to make top dressing. Lack of nutrients can negatively affect the appearance of the plant and significantly reduce the yield. Fertilize cucumbers with organic fertilizers in combination with mineral fertilizers. With the right balance of these components and adherence to the fertilizing schedule, the cucumber yield will be maximum.
Required climatic conditions
The hybrid variety is characterized by increased resistance to adverse weather conditions: drought, short-term cold snaps, prolonged rains. If the plant is grown in a greenhouse, then they do not matter at all. Its unpretentiousness allows you to easily endure stressful situations with a sharp change in weather, leaving tying and filling at the proper level of intensity.The hybrid does not shed the ovary even in extreme heat of 50 degrees or during sudden cold snaps.
Disease and pest resistance
Lyutoyar has good resistance to cucumber mosaic virus, cladosporium disease, powdery mildew. However, it is almost powerless against aphids, ants, spider mites and whiteflies. In this case, insecticide treatments help.
Despite their popularity, cucumbers are often attacked by diseases and pests. From them, cucumber plantings often die before the start of fruiting. In order to prevent this from happening, it is necessary to try to prevent ailments or get rid of them at the very beginning, having studied in detail their causes of occurrence, signs and methods of treatment.
