Cucumber Bingo

The Bingo cucumber is the delight of specialists and gardeners, a novelty that is described exclusively with epithets in the superlative degree. All these laudatory reviews are not exaggerated: the parthenocarpic type does not require pollination, it gives ovaries on each flower (there are simply no barren flowers). For completeness of the characteristics, you can add other information: bouquet type of fruiting, gherkin variety for greenhouse cultivation. A worthy sample of domestic selection bears fruit for up to one and a half months, the fruits are highly appreciated by gourmets and connoisseurs of zelents.

"Partner" is an agrofirm known to many vegetable gardens, which regularly renews the assortment of its stores with new hybrids of cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, cabbage and other vegetable crops.

The reputation of the originator is beyond doubt: gardeners have already appreciated the Gosha and Estet hybrids, the seeds of which, due to the demand, cannot always be found on the shelves of retail stores. However, the creators have their own virtual and real retail outlets.

Bingo cucumber is a relative novelty. It is a parthenocarpic species that does not require pollination. The fruits are tied without the presence of insects in the greenhouse, moreover, the flowers practically do not produce barren flowers. He's called:

• a bouquet variety, since the ovaries are located in the shape of a bouquet;
• gherkin: small greens can be removed from the bush at the pickle stage, but even when ripe, they are no more than 9 cm (like gherkins);
• early: from the moment the seedlings are planted to the collection of the first cucumbers, only 40-45 days pass;
• thin-skinned: due to the thin but rather dense skin of a dark green color.

Gardeners appreciate not only the great taste, pleasant aroma and sweetish aftertaste of fresh cucumber, but also suitability for pickling and pickling, small size, cylindrical shape without errors. A pleasant bonus is a high yield of goods at the stage when the fruits of Bingo are removed when they are still very young. The only disadvantage of this variety is that it belongs to hybrids: the seed material cannot be collected independently, it must be purchased from the originator - the agrofirm "Partner".

The variety is distinguished by a strong stem with a moderate amount of medium dark green leaves, on which there are female-type flowers, collected in a bunch and subsequently forming up to 4 zelents in place of each of them.Pollination is not required for the appearance of ovaries: at one time, cylindrical fruits of a rich emerald color appear, strewn with pimples and small light thorns.

Long-term fruiting and bunched form of ovary formation allow harvesting of two types. Its amount is determined by the preferences of the owners: small (pickles) limit the yield, but can be used in the preparation of delicacy twists. If you let them grow to gherkins (7-9 cm), the weight of the harvested fruits doubles. Cucumbers are very presentable, with excellent marketability. They transfer transportation over long distances without mechanical damage. They can remain on the bushes for a long time without changing their appearance, do not overripe and do not turn yellow at the same time.

Early ripening of cucumbers does not mean restrictions on the way they are used. Bingo is positioned as a universal variety. It can be:

• marinate in mono-rolls and as part of assorted vegetables;
• Eat with pleasure fresh and sliced ​​into salads to fortify the body.

The sweetish taste and lack of bitterness make it possible to use cucumbers in the preparation of snacks (there are almost no seeds inside the fruit and there are no voids). Salting in wood and in plastic containers is excellent. Keeping quality, transportability and marketability make it possible to grow the variety for commercial profit, and considerable profit at that.

Bingo cucumber is difficult to confuse with other varieties. When cut, a solid pulp is visible, during approbation, a sweetish taste is felt, there is no bitterness, the cucumber is crispy and dense. Looks aesthetically pleasing on the table and in cans after seaming, appetizing, it is impossible to stop trying it in any form.

The peculiarity of the bouquet type is the ability to harvest at the same time, especially if gherkins are needed, since already ripe greens do not inhibit the development of new ones and remain on the bush without losing their properties and color. Depending on the stage, cucumbers can weigh on average 35-80 g. The time for harvesting fruits in greenhouse conditions is 42-45 days, in open ground they can be lengthened, but not particularly dramatically, depending on the ripening period.

For a month and a half of active fruiting, creating suitable conditions for the plant (lighting and humidity), you can get a significant harvest. Pickles with a weight of 35-40 g turn out to be 7-8 kg, gherkins can be collected on average 12.5 kg per square meter. Greenhouse conditions do not complicate, but simplify obtaining the desired result: you can provide the required amount of moisture, track the onset of the disease on the bush in time and take action. Growing in the garden does not reduce the chances of good results: both the bush and the fruits are resistant to adverse natural influences. Short ripening times will allow you to harvest the crop repeatedly and with consistent success.

The seedling method is the ideal way to grow bingo cucumber, then the standard greenhouse farming rules apply. In the open field, you will have to wait until the ground warms up to +15. The change does not need soaking, disinfection or germination: they are treated with the originator and covered with a special compound for introduction into the soil. If planted in an open way, the soil will have to be prepared in the fall. For seedlings, you can purchase a special nutrient composition with good aeration or peat pots.
