Advantages

A comfortable sleep is said to be a guarantee of health. For a restful and pleasant sleep, we will need a comfortable bed, a soft pillow, and, of course, a blanket, covered with which you will feel comfortable and will be able to quickly fall asleep. The choice of a product for a calm and sweet sleep must be approached with responsibility, since a good sleep affects the productivity of the working day. The choice of blankets in our time is very large. Here you need to choose the right size, material and filler.

Blankets of the European standard have great advantages. They consist in the fact that they can completely cover a large bed, and a person of tall stature can completely hide with them without any problems.

Euro standard blankets have different shapes. Basically, they are square or rectangular, this shape is the most convenient.

Blankets vary by season: winter, summer, off-season. In winter, thick winter blankets are mainly used. Off-season ones are of medium thickness, and summer ones are the thinnest.

But it will be considered a big mistake that the thicker the product, the warmer it is. For example, a thin wool blanket warms just like a thick swan down.

Downy, woolen, cotton, bamboo, silk, synthetic and very unusual - with exotic fillers, European standard blankets will surely find their buyer.

If you have chosen a downy product, it should be quilted with rhombuses, in this form, the down will not roll, and it will serve you longer.

These down products are ideal for winter. Their service life is about 20 years.

There are also blankets cassette type... Its filling is more evenly distributed over the cells, and the filling will never get lost in the corners. It is very reliable and durable. Partitions are made between the fabric and the filler is manually stuffed into each cassette bag and the fabrics are sewn together. Thus, the fluff will not accumulate in one place and have voids in another.

There is also a blanket called karostep... This is an unusual thing where a drawing is embroidered and filled with filler.

People suffering from various allergic diseases are not recommended to buy euro blankets with natural fillers such as down, wool and others.

Although wool can create a massage effect and their service life is about 15 years. Still, in order to avoid allergic reactions, allergy sufferers are recommended to use hypoallergenic fabrics and fillers. A good option in this case is natural bamboo or silk blankets. They will cost more, as they perfectly let air through, retain heat and have a lifespan of about 12 years. Remember that silk items require special attention.

You can take a euro blanket made of cotton fabric, but it will weigh much more than the above products. A cotton product will last you longer. It can be used during summer or off-season. This material is highly absorbent and breathable. It will be very comfortable to sleep under it.

Euro blanket with synthetic filling (padding polyester) will be very light.Its main advantage is that it is perfectly washed in a washing machine.

European standard blankets with unusual fillers will suit shocking people. Eucalyptus as a filler will promote good breathing. Algae, St. John's wort, oregano, nettle and other herbs can help improve your breathing and well-being.

Dimensions of European standards

Standard blankets are available as single, lorry and double. The sizes of the euro blankets will pleasantly surprise you. They are slightly larger than the standard sizes we are used to:

Since the single-bed models and the one-and-a-half models are almost the same size, buyers choose the euro one-and-a-half. It is more convenient, such a blanket is called a family blanket;

Materials (edit)

Excipients

Each filler has its own positive and negative sides.

Downy

The down padding keeps your body warm and promotes good air circulation. If you choose a duvet Euro duvet, it will be large, but very airy, light and pleasant to your body.

Woolen

A woolen euro blanket will have a positive effect on the human body.

If it is made of camel or sheep wool, it will be several times heavier than, for example, a cashmere or jacquard blanket. Wool products do not have a greenhouse effect, due to this, air circulation is very good, which has a beneficial effect on your body.

The filler should be well and tightly packed. Wool products will serve you for a long time.

The downside is that they can cause allergies. This blanket requires frequent washing.

Cotton

The Euro standard cotton blanket is pleasant to the touch and hypoallergenic. Dust will not accumulate in it, and even if it does appear, it can be easily washed in a typewriter. If your product consists of one cotton canvas, then it will be lightweight and perfect for the summer period.

The price of such a blanket will not "beat" your pocket.

He has practically no minuses. Unless you bought a euro blanket with a wadded cotton filling. Then the cotton wool in it can roll into lumps.

Bamboo

The bamboo euro blanket is just a treasure trove of useful things! It does not cause irritation, allergies and is breathable. Last but not least, the bamboo blanket is very lightweight.

There are no negative sides. The main thing is to make sure that the product is filled with bamboo fiber and not synthetic.

Silk

A natural silk blanket is suitable for all seasons. It quickly absorbs and perfectly evaporates unnecessary moisture. If you crush the filler, then it will restore its shape as quickly as possible.Remember that such a product will never start unnecessary parasites and dust mites.

The negative side of the silk euro blanket is its high cost. He needs very careful care.

It cannot be stored in a room with a low temperature, it may lose its softness. It cannot be washed in a washing machine at a high temperature.

Synthetic

Synthetic Euro-class blanket perfectly retains its shape. Its volume will not change even after numerous washes. The synthetic filler is very warm and does not absorb unpleasant odors. Microorganisms do not start inside and fungi are also not scary.

The negative fact is poor air circulation.

Covers

When buying a duvet of the euro standard, you need to make sure that the cover is made of thick fabric so that feathers and down do not get out of it:

  • For a woolen blanket, it is important that the cover is made of natural fabric. You need to make sure that all threads on the cover are in place, and woolen fibers do not stick out from the seams;
  • When buying a euro-class bamboo blanket, you need to check the presence of inlay along the contour of the cover. It is advisable that the cover is carefully stitched, and the filler does not come out;
  • A cover for a European-standard silk blanket must have a clasp through which you can verify the authenticity of the silk fiber. Uncolored silk fibers will be white or yellowish in color. If you notice curly fibers inside the blanket, it is rayon. You can also try to light the fibers a little, they should not exude the smell of burnt wool;
  • The cover for the euro blanket made of cotton should be of high quality and dense;
  • A blanket made of synthetic fabrics is not always pleasing to your body. It is desirable that the cover is made of natural fabrics. Such a cover will have a beneficial effect on sleep.

How to choose?

When choosing a Euro-class blanket, in order for it to last longer, you need to consider a lot:

  • Determine what size of the product you need;
  • Choose the color of the product that suits your bedroom;
  • The cost of the goods should not be very low. The completely understated price should confuse you. Since this product may have a defect or filler different from the offered product;
  • Check your blanket! Read the label, look at the drawing, look at all the seams and make sure there are no excess threads;
  • The cover must be durable and preferably without synthetics, so that static electricity does not occur;
  • Learn how to properly wash this product.

Also on the packaging of the euro blanket there are special markers, a maximum of five of them. They indicate the degree of warmth of the product. Markers are only suitable for euro products with one type of filling.

Recommended blankets, depending on temperature:

  • from + 6 ° - very warm (5 points);
  • From + 8.5 ° - warm (4 points);
  • From + 10 ° - off-season (3 points);
  • From + 15 ° - easy (2 points);
  • From + 19 ° - light summer (1 point).

Unfortunately, not all manufacturers use markers on the blanket packaging, so its warmth can be determined by the density of the filler used. For a winter blanket there is a filling with a density of 420 g / m², for an all-season blanket - with a density of 220-350 g / m², for a summer blanket - with a density less than 200-220 g / m². Such criteria are relevant for all fillers, with the exception of synthetic and down.
